Westwater Products Thingamabobber 3/4" Strike Indicator 5 pack mixed colors

These are hard to find in stores, but we are happy we ordered them from Amazon. They work well, as expected. They are for fly fishing but also work for perch and bluegill fishing near the shore. We use them with our little Dock-Demon rod.

The only improvement for this fine strike indicator would be to remove the sharp burr that sometimes forms in the plastic around the grommet. It can be rough on the mono. However, real Thingamabobber's have much less of an issue with this than the slightly cheaper knock offs. Get the real Thingambobber.

I didn't read the instructions. These DO NOT have the flags. Great indicators still.

Meh, going to go with something else. If you follow their instructions it slides down the line after a few casts.

I love how you have the choice of a solid location, or free moving. My problem is that the two smallest sizes are TOO small. Anything but the smallest of weights will nearly pull it under. With little weight they are extremely moved by ANY current or wind. If the water has any waves it is difficult to tell if there is a nibble. You basically just have to wait till the thing goes under and doesn't come back up.If it wasn't for the size they would be good bobbers/floats. I'm going to order some larger sizes and I'll let you know how they work for me.OH YEA - They are constructed very well!Denille

These work very well, I got to try them out recently while nymphing on a river in southwest Washington. They don't affect your casting, are easy to see, and with the different actions the indicator makes it helps to read water, and depth.

No dislikes worked as promised
