Le Toy Van New York Car Set

This is the 2nd set I’ve bought for my grandson & he LOVES them. The 1st set was so well used I needed a new one. HOWEVER both the first and now the 2nd set have the same flaw. A small piece of wood has broken off one of the toys in both sets. In the original it took some weeks to happen and I put that down to plenty of use but this time it happened on the very first day (see photo). I’m really disappointed but can’t see where to complain! Hoping this review will be read by Le Toy or Amazon and ill get answers.

This is the second purchase of Le Toy Van cars we have bought for our toddler. While these may not be made from solid oak (I believe they are MDF or similar) they are nicely designed, the wheels and axles feel solid and they take a good beating. The packaging was also noticeably presentable and had no unnecessary plastic ties etc. The paint finish is fairly solid but don't expect it to stand up to a few dozens crashes, tosses and rolls across the floor. It will eventually start to wear. What was important for us was the confidence that these items are over engineered to the point loose pieces would not be found by our 1 year old, which I have complete faith in as they are solidly built.These are slightly more expensive than some of the competitors but I fell in love with the design. They have a certain "je nais ce quoi" as their website claims, that some other designs do not. Having already purchased the small 3 piece retro set and the London set, we look forward to expanding the collection in-time for Christmas.

Have only been owned and played with for a month and the paint had come off the police car.Not robust enough for children to play with and I certainly won't be buying any more toys from this brand especially at the prices they charge. Not impressed.

These cars and the packaging were a complete hit. Bought these for my 2 year old nephew for his birthday and out of the many gifts he got this was his favourite. He absolutely loved taking them out of the box and putting them back in (with a little help as they are not quite meant for that and so can get stuck). The quality is fantastic, they seem very durable as were dropped many times without any denting. I love the variety and my nephew enjoyed saying “car” or “neenor” as he took each one out. This gift brought many hours of fun and continue to do so, much to his dads annoyance as his fancy remote control car didn’t get a look in - in fact it got kicked out of the way several times to play with his wooden cars.

I bought this for my ASD son as I was preparing a lesson for him about construction trucks. First day I received my order, instead of receving 5, i got 4 vehicles so I sent back the item and I ordered them again. This time 5 of them arrived but the quality is absolutely terrible. My son wasn't even playing roughly as we were having lesson about this and then I can see that one of the toys is broken and chipped. So it's not only bad quality but also dangerous as they can put these bits in the mouth. I honestly expected them to be really good quality especially for the price I paid. I should have followed all the negative comments and bought another brand. Truly disappointed as my son loves it but I have to take 2 of them away so that he doesn't get harm and I'm not buying this again.
