I bought this kit for my daughter as a Christmas gift because she really likes crafting and junk food. I thought the kit would come with instructions on beginner stitches because most of this kit is sewing, but there was nothing. Luckily, I know how to sew, so I was able to help her, but this would be not a good choice for someone who doesn't have a knowledge of basic stitches.tldr: cute concept, lackluster execution

Last week I was hand sewing pockets back on my husbands robe and my 6 year old really wanted to sew. I’m really not a skilled seamstress, so this kit was perfect because it has everything you need except maybe a pin cushion....and you can just dive in. This was nice since 6 year olds don’t always have the best attention spans and I also have a special needs 7 month old. It was a great way for me to do an art project with my daughter. So far...she has done the cotton candy. It has been the first thing she wants to do when she’s done with school...and then she asks about it again first thing when she wakes up.

I really enjoyed making these! I bought two sets and loved making them! High quality and so cute! The only thing I would change would be the needle opening should be larger. I made these for a reward system I am making for teaching kids online. The thread no matter what I did, would knot up and get tangled, or break into several pieces while trying to get it through the needle opening. I know if doing this with children, it would be even that more difficult for them to thread it through; however, all in all so fun and they turned out super cute! May be purchasing more!

Adorable faces from this designer. User friendly with good/adequate instructions, quality pre-cut materials my 8 year old was able to use "independently", which totally builds confidence. She was originally gifted the animal kit, and we came back to purchase this one after she fell in love. She can now hand sew on her own. The only thing... check to make sure all of your adorable eyes are in your kit before you start to avoid heartbreak.

Cute little set! My 6 year old was able to do it with some assistance. The stuffing takes a little finesse but all in all it’s a nice kit. Good value.

An okay gift if the child is actually interested in leaning to sew.

This is super cute. I bought it for my 8yo's birthday. She has wanted to learn how to sew something so I thought this would be fun. Everything is cut out for you and seperated into individual bags. They included plenty of needles as well and they are nice and big to help little fingers. Definitely would recommend.
