This is so much fun
I love these kits! This particular brand Rolife has the better instructions. They have color pictures and simple instructions underneath. Reminds me of Lego instructions. This kit had all the major furniture separated in their own bags and with their own instructions so you can start where you want.Pros: lots of paint is provided and a brush. Each bag so far contains a square of sandpaper which is nice since one is never enough.Cons: I seem to have an extra piece of wood, with the laser cut pieces not laser cut, the outlines are drawn onto it, but definitely not cut through. It does not appear in any of the instructions. I also think the instant glue is much better than the white glue, they supply both, but not enough of the instant glue, I had to go into my personal supply.I am really enjoying building this set, I am not done yet, but so far it has been very enjoyable.

Instructions aren't super clear, but that leaves more room for customization!
Very cute miniature. The paint is a little thin and requires quite a few coats, so honestly I would use a different paint. I made a few modifications to make it more my own. Loved working on it!

Fun but time consuming
Got this to do over Valentine's weekend, and a month later the project still isn't complete. The pieces are made of good material and I enjoyed being able to use my own paints/paper to customize the room. The instructions are confusing as they include items that are not included, which makes me think they use a universal instruction manual for different models. It comes with a good amount of glue and you having an Exacto/craft knife and tweezers really helps with assembly. The project matches the product photo 100%.

Be ready to paint
I had already read the other reviews, so I was aware that this kit was different than the others from this brand. I have already put together quite a few of their other kits, so I didn't mind having to do a little more work. It isn't as high of quality as the other kits, you have to paint everything yourself and there isn't any lighting (good or bad depending on how you look at it!) so it is not as expensive as other kits. If this was my first one, or I didn't know why it had a lower price before I bought it, I probably would have been a little disappointed. But I didn't mind having to paint more in order to spend less money. All of the wood pieces are pop out wood pieces that you have to sand down a little and then put several coats of paint on. They should make it a little clearer that this series is a little different than the rest. I still had a lot of fun and will still probably buy the others in this series.

Cute kit! Very tiny pieces so you must be patient making it.
Robotime/rolife kits are always really nice. This one doesn’t have an lighting so nothing to wire. It also comes fully painted. A fun kit if you like doing detailed work.

Another fun kit!
This is a lovely kit. If you’re familiar with these kits, you’ll know what to expect. It’s not like a puzzle that pieces snap together, it’s a true crafting experience. But very adorable and lots of fun to put together!

Downgrade from Similar Kits
I’ve done multiple RoLife projects, including the bedroom, the library, the gardens, and a few other studies. This is the weakest of the set and, while the end result is decent, I wouldn’t get it again.Unlike the other projects, you don’t receive an instruction booklet, but three different huge instruction papers which come tightly folded up. They’re unwieldy and hard to follow, since you have to search and search to find the part you’re looking for. Also, EVERYTHING has to be painted and cut out of a wood board. Some of the pieces are so tiny—smaller than a pinky nail— that it’s impossible to get them out of the board without breaking. There are six different paint colors that come with the kit and, annoyingly, the brown has to be watered down or it ruins the look of the desk. Since so many tiny pieces are in the wood board you also have to search around to make sure you’re identifying the right one for each part of the project. The Thames cabinet is a great piece when it comes together (although it doesn’t look nearly as vibrant as promotional pictures thanks to the aforementioned punching and painting) and I like that there’s no light fixture, but otherwise this is a pass unless you’ve exhausted the other kits and want a serious challenge.
