French Knitting

I DEFINITELY DONT RECOMMEND. I’m an experienced knitter/crocheter and couldn’t use this despite the experience of spending many happy hours as a child french knitting. I bought 2 for grandkids. I’m going to have to find alternatives. Hole in Dolly too narrow to allow the knitting to travel through. Wool very cheap and split easily. The hook is very clean flimsy plastic and the sharpness of the pointy end is definitely of concern. A TOTAL waste of money. I wouldn’t have given it any stars at all except you can’t leave a rating without it.

The yarn supplied is too thick for the size of the dolly so the string of French knitting doesn't drop through the hole. It was very frustrating for the seven-year old, who was trying to learn this new skill, and I couldn't do any better despite years of practice. A very disappointing experience.

This was a gift for my great niece. No instructions included do we had to use YouTube.It is lovely french knitting doll. A bit tricky for a 6 year old to use but she was determined and soon got the hang of it.I would recommend it for slightly older children though.Delivery a d packaging was good as promised.

This took me right back to Christmas as a child when one of my Auntie and Uncles got us one each (every year!!) - I thought it would be fun to let my daughter have one.I couldn't remember how to use it haha.. and the instructions left a lot to be desired. We ended up having to use Youtube to get us started!

I bought this for my daughter and I’m guilty of using it more than she has. Along with it came a great sense of nostalgia.The knitting nancy is sturdy and easy to use.
