The author has created short cuts in order to suit Indian cooking to an American cooks time table. The recipes are easy to understand and give a nice over view of Indian cooking.

I have an avid interest in indian cooking and would say I am more than competent in cooking, I found this book a bit useless and did nothing for me or my palate. There are many books out there which are far more better .
