Fits as it should(not being custom), 2nd Dowco cover for my bikes
Bought this in "Crusier" size for my 2005 V-rod. Front end fits well and the rear is a little saggy, but the bike is pretty narrow at the rear with no bags. One thing to note with this model is that it is made for the bike to be on the side stand. I was trying to fit the cover with the bike on a scissor stand but realized it was meant for the side stand stance instead. I have one if these on my Vitpilen which had had to be outside in the rain at times and the cover keeps it dry. This cover was bought to keep my bike clean from my wife's project dust in the garage so it should last forever not being exposed to the sun. The one on my Vitpilen has been in the sun for approximately 6 months with very little fading and no problems with seams so far. I like the little compression carry case for the cover, pretty easy to get the cover rolled back up and in the case when needed. About the size of a small sleeping bag when packed away.

Well made, lasted over 6 years
This cover has all the features you want. It’s thick, durable, and still intact after purchasing it in 2016. It will need to have the waterproofing resprayed every couple years or else the cover retains moisture but that’s the only maintenance. Mine lasted through 3 motorcycles and several moves, no problem. I’m definitely buying another one. Also, the included picture is how it looks now after several years of use- it’s dirty but still almost looks new. Don’t waste your time with a $30 Amazon special if you actually like your bike.

The XL Fits an R1250GS with a Top Case
The XL Fits an R1250GS with a Top Case. However, I wish I bought the bigger size. The larger size may have covered the wheels. The cover survived a heavy rain. The rain drops formed into beads and fell off the cover.

Wonderfal Motorcycle Cover For Sportbikes that Fits my R1 Like A Glove
I've been using the sportbike version of this cover on my 2012 Yamaha R1 now for 3 straight seasons of outdoor storage and it works really well as a daily-use cover and fits like a glove. The fitment literally couldn't be any more perfect for this bike and it's almost like they form fit it specifically for it rather than being a universal sport-bike cover. It keeps debris and the majority of the rain from completely soaking the bike and helps add a measure of anti-theft to the bike by making the bike less obvious to the casual passer-by.The motorcycle cover comes with a single strap that runs under the bike and clips into a buckle on a strap on the other side of the cover to help keep it on the bike and it does a fine job at that. I've yet to have this thing shift or move barely an inch through many heavy wind and rainstorms. The interior of this cover is a fairly soft material that shouldn't harm your paint finish as long as the bike is relatively clean, since you don't want to throw any cover on a dirty bike and scrape the dirt into the soft clearcoat finish. One thing to watch out for though is that you can get some light scratches on a plastic sportbike windscreen with this cover even though it has a sewn-in white windscreen protector in the section that lays on the windscreen. I figured this out fairly quickly and I take two microfiber towels and drape them in overlapping fashion over my windscreen so that the cover isn't laying directly on it and it will be protected from abrasion by the microfiber towels, and the cover fits tight enough to hold them in place as long as you put the cover on starting in the front of the bike and then slide the towels in under it after the front 1/3 of the cover is in place (over the front wheel and ready to go over the windscreen). This cover is not completely waterproof and it will let some water through to your bike if store outside, particularly as the cover ages. There is also a little vent built into the cover that goes in the corner where your left-hand mirror is which helps you line the cover up with the front of the bike and allows trapped moisture to escape out from under the cover. If you plan on using this outside as a permanent winter cover to get you through a snowy off-season, I recommend putting this cover on and then putting a tarp over it while you have another tarp under the bike, this way you are keeping as much moisture as possible off of it while it hibernates through the dreary winter misery of a cold place like New England. One thing I don't like about this cover are that the buckles on the straps aren't lined with some sort of soft material. I'm always very careful when putting this cover on because they can sometimes smack against the painted surfaces of the bike and it feels like they might make small scratches. Maybe if there were a fabric cover of some sort going around the latches it might help prevent this from happening, although it might make it harder to use the buckles. There is a large white and red "Guardian" symbol on the front of the cover that helps make it obvious to you where the front of the cover is, but it would be nice if it had some sort of reflective striping down the back of the cover both for safety purposes and so that it was easier to find the back of it when you are picking the cover up while it's folded or balled up in storage. I often have to hunt and fumble around a bit to locate the "Guardian" symbol when I am putting this cover on by myself so I can tell where the front of it is and this could be a lot easier with the rear portion also marked.I would definitely recommend this cover to other riders, especially since I can't think of any better alternatives for the money. I am giving it 5 stars, but I would like to give it 4.5 if half-stars were an option just due to the windscreen-scratch threat and the latches also being potential scratch hazards.

Full Weather Coverage
If you have a Harley Electra Glide the XXL size is the way to go for full coverage. An advisor from Dowco will tell you their XL is sized correctly but Very, Very, Very long story short it’s not. Dowco makes great covers, have used them for years.

Yamaha YZF-R7
Size: Sportbike | GreyCurrent Motorcycle: Yamaha YZF-R7Great Fitment. Currently have had the cover for <1 month but to date no wear and tear present. Water droplets run off the sides and never gets on the bike. Grey color is a great option for the more sunny states as it absorbs less heat compared to the Black cover.Dowco Guardian "WeatherAll" are covered by lifetime warranty. Register the product on the Dowcopowersports webpage using the link under warranty registrations. That being said I've heard of mixed reviews when it comes to the policy being honored (potentially due to item being bought from unauthorized 3rd party sellers). For the best chances, confirm that the sold by field reads Amazon.com. This is just my ASSUMPTION!FYI in some instances due to the general nature of motorcycle covers, insects and other small creatures might make home underneath the covers due the warmth from the engine cooldown. Take caution when unveiling your motorbike.Ride Safe!

Great warranty; shoddy seam work
I bought a Dowco cover on my friend's recommendation after going through a bunch of $20. - $60. covers which would last bo longer than six months.I'm impressed by the heavier weight of this cover but was sueprised/disappointed that a six-inch segment of the seam has already come undone after only three weeks of use.Upon closer inspection of the seam stitching, it's really poorly done. Not sure if this is par for the course with Dowco covers or if I happened to get one that should've failed quality control (if they have one).I'll probably just thread a needle and sew that segment back up because I'm not sure if a replacement cover would be any different.

not as good as the older one i have, very disappointed
I have a Dowco cover for another motorcycle that i purchased about 7 years ago, it is much better quality and easy to find what part should be over the windshield, in tight quarters this is very useful, the new one has NO distinguishing panels in it and you must continue moving the cover around until it seems to fit, very difficult to do in tight quarters manufacturer saved a few dollars but cheapened the product, i'm wondering what it will be like in the rain

Sizing
I like the silver color so the bike shouldn't get so hot under it and it shouldn't look as bad as the dark covers do when they fade. It seems to be well made and the material is relatively thick. Much moreso than the majority of bike covers. The exception being the Canadian sourced Powerfist/Princess Auto which is about the same thickness and quality but was a virtual bargain price wise at 1/3 the cost. Unfortunately Princess Auto no longer carries this item. Which leads to one of my complaints, cost. This cover is expensive. Although the quality is much better than the other covers currently on the market. The thing is if one company, Princess Auto, can get their Chinese covers made for $55 Can I dont know why this one has to be 3 times the price. The other complaint is their sizing. I lucked out in ordering the XL, just. The cover went on a KTM Suprduke GT. This is one of the smallest sports tourers. The cover is a snug fit with the side bags on. It definitely will not fit with the trunk in place. There is no way this XL would fit something like an FJR1200, BMW1250 RS/RT/ADV, KAWASAKI Concours etc. I would probably get the XXL to accommodate the trunk next time around. Will be interesting to see the longevity of this cover. My Princess Autos were lasting 5-6years before they shredded due to sun deterioration. This was 5 times longer than the previous motorcycle covers I tried which at twice the price were complete garbage. Hopefully I won't need to test the lifetime warranty.

Not long lasting
Owned this for a year and a bit and already 3 of the inner seam coverings are gone . Not expecting it to last the winter . Looking for recommendations on a longer lasting all weather cover . As in ALL seasons . If using in light dutie storage this may work but in all day heavy outdoors ..... NOPE as it won't last .

My mom always says, buy cheap buy it twice.
Used to cover GL1500 SE.. With tall windshield.. Ordered xxxlarge.. Fit perfect time will tell if it last as long as thay say it does. The elastic hugs the bottom nicely. I had the light rain cover that after 10 years tore. So i decided to purchase the same brand. I have a pull behind trailer so space for cover will be no problem to carry now. This cover defenetly is heavier material. The lifetime warranty is a good safe guard.
