Nice Colors for a Classic Craft Item
My daughter (now aged 37) asked if I still had the fusible beads from when she was a kid, and of course I did - tucked away in the 'craft closet' in the garage. Though I still had the forms, patterns and paper, my bead collection was depleted, so I ordered this set. I made the mistake of opening the package upside down, so all the beads slid together. Rather than trying to get them back in their respective cubby holes, I just dumped them all into a large tupperware bowl. My 4-year old granddaughter was able to pick up the beads and place them on the form, planning her pattern as she went along and chattering incessantly about how beautiful it was going to be. When I melted them together with the iron, she ran around with the colorful heart that she had made and showed it to everyone. This craft is great for practicing small motor skills, sorting, and planning and requires kids to sit down and be calm for a while. Though she was done after just 1 form, I'm sure it will hold her interest for longer periods of time as she gets older.

Great set of beads for beginners and experts alike
Let me first emphasis how much I prefer the Perler Beads like this that are divided into their own sections. I started off with the 11,000 piece bucket and I must say it's very tedious to go through and pick out the colors you are looking for one by one. To me, that is a huge pro in purchasing this particular set.My main con, on the other hand, is that there are only 250 beads of each color. For some of the less often used colors, like amber, this isn't much of a problem. In my case, I use a lot of black and white beads, so 250 beads won't last me very long. If this is the case with you as well, I would recommend purchasing the individual packets of 1,000 beads per color. The other thing that irked me a little about this tray is that the colors aren't listed and the bottom four colors are blocked by the packaging, so here is a list of the colors based on my interpretation:blackdark greenlime greensky blueCarolina bluebaby bluepurplelavendermulberryred-violetscarlet (close to red)pinkorangeamber (mix between orange and yellow)yellowwhite(Note: colors appear left to right, top to bottom in the photo.)Overall, I think this is a good buy for beginners and experts alike in the Perler Bead crafts.

Beads with good variety and in decent, but not amazing, quantities
A nice selection of perler beads in a good variety of colors. Most people will find one or more colors that they just never use, but it's generally more convenient than buying them all separately and a lot better than buying the giant mixed tubs of beads. The tray itself is pretty good for keeping beads organized as well and they stack on top of one another pretty well so they don't take up a huge amount of space. The main problem is that there are roughly 250 beads of each color, which sounds like a lot, but in my experience you'll go through the black and the white beads about twice as fast as any other color and if you have a big project you'll burn through those colors just as fast, so you could quickly have a tray full of colors you're not going to use.

Good time-consuming fun for kid and/or creative adults
I'll give these the five stars for the mere fact that these kept my kids occupied quietly for several hours during their summer vacation. I'm not a huge connoisseur of perler beads, so I can't really compare to others, but I bought three different trays of these things, and they are all bright and melt easily. The kids enjoy them, and my OCD is pleased by the fact that these are already separated by color and I'm not watching them pick through a 10" bucket and fighting over who gets that green one on the top of the pile. They didn't come with the special perler bead ironing paper, but we used parchment paper and it works fine.

Great colors, and good quantities for multiple small projects.
This was my first introduction to perler beads. My daughters and I quickly became addicted to the process, and had to head for Hobby Lobby to buy more for our Bible Study craft. The colors are vibrant, and there is plenty of each color to do small projects. If you want to do emojis or a panda bear (heavy on one or two colors), either plan a small size, or buy a larger package of beads. However, for rainbows, colorful hearts, and anything with smaller amounts of varied colors, this is the ideal package!

Amazon is a great place to buy Perler items
Very much enjoy these things, like that the colors are Pre-sorted rather than a mixed bag; arrived fine; also, as a tip, some of the Perler bead sets that are much harder to find than this one at brick & mortar stores are a breeze to find on Amazon - unique pegboards and types of beads (my nephew was pumped that there are glow-in-the-dark beads, and shark-shaped pegboards, &c&c

The idea seems great. Compartmentalized by color
The idea seems great. Compartmentalized by color. Then comes a kid who bumps this in any way and it'll fly allover and colors mixed. If you're a frugal type, just buy a big bin with mixed colors and pick out the colors you need as you go.

A great way to get started!
Great bargain for the cost. You don't get as many beads as you would if you bought the buckets for a similar price but it saves you the headache of sorting them out. I highly recommend this as well as the neutral colors one. Getting both gives you plentry of color options and lots of black and white which is useful for most projects. It allows you a great sample amount of a majority of colors offered by perler and it's easy to figure out which colors you you most of so that you can order the single color bags.

Excellent
These are very high quality for plastic beads.I used to buy the Ikea Pyssla beads. Those would not melt very evenly and would break apart very easily. The colour would also fade a lot in the sun. And usually there are a lot of misshapen beads.I like to leave some of my designs in my car and the ones made with Perler beads do not fade or melt. The Perler beads melt pretty evenly. The designs come out flexible but strong. Also, every single bead I've used so far has been perfectly shaped.

Perler beads
wish there was better packaging or a better container to hold the beads. Otherwise, it is as described and works fine with other perler beads

Good Starter Kit
Good starter kit, not enough beads per colour to really do too much.
