Best quality for the price
I needed a chess set for my son chess club and this set did not disappoint. It was affordable and it didn’t sacrifice quality. The pieces has a wooden look and feel, not sure if it’s actually wood. The board is wood and pieces are magnetic and holds perfectly to board.

Well Made, Sturdy & Attractive Set
Perfect for my purposes of learning chess & traveling. Strongly magnetic pieces don't tip over & dense foam inside is shaped to store pieces snugly. Very happy with this purchase. It would make a fine gift.

Received Faulty Set
The chess set is well made and looks good. However, the set I received was faulty. The metal plate at the bottom of the board is misaligned. So, the magnetic pieces cannot stand in the middle of row 4 (see picture). The set is not playable in this condition. I notified Amazon and they gave me a full refund, which is excellent.It seems such a waste to throw this nice set away, so I tried to fix it. I pulled out the sponge that holds the chess pieces and pried out the petal plate by force. Then I used a box cutter to scrape off the existing glue. After that, I hot glued the plate to the correct position and glued back the sponge. That solved the issue. 👍

Excellent quality
Very happy with the set. Super well made, love the magnetic set. I use at home, super easy to put away. I was pleasantly surprised how excellent the quality is considering the price. An excellent value.
