I just noticed that I had ordered this product 13 times and thought it was time for me to weigh in on it. Prior to writing my review I looked over about 25 other reviews because, after all, there's no sense in just repeating what others say.I guess it's obvious I accept the product if I've ordered it 13 times (14 if you count today). I drink it because I suffer from Gerd and Barrett's Esophagus (pre-cancerous condition). While my reflux is mostly silent, if I have a little caffeine it comes on with a vengeance. So, when I saw this product initially, I thought I'd give it a try rather than quitting my having a morning hot beverage cold turkey.I'm surprised at the number of people who are saying this tastes exactly like coffee. I assure you, it does not! It seems to be missing a little of the acid "bite" that coffee has. Don't get me wrong; it's not unpleasant at all, it's just not a convincing flavor substitute for regular joe. Besides being a bit bland compared to coffee I do rate it favorably (4/5) on taste. I do doctor mine up with zero calorie sweetener and a flavored creamer. After drinking it for more than a year, it's satisfying to have a cup, morning or evening.Since you've seen I only give the coffee substitute 4/5 you might be wondering (or not) why I rated it 5 stars. I added a star back in because of the vendor. Every time I've ordered this, over a dozen times now, it has virtually flown to my front door. You can almost set your clock by how fast this arrives. In my experience, I think that once I place my order, it's put in the mail stream the same day. This reliability of service has convinced me to not bother trying any other chicory product. I like knowing that once I order it, I'll get it and get it FAST.Oh, and one more thing. If you live in a hot climate like me (Texas) don't do what I did. I order 3 packs at a time. First time I ordered it, I left the unopened packs on the counter since they were sealed. This had an unfortunate effect on the contents, almost a liquification of the powder, making it sticky and difficult to portion. Once you receive your order, keep the packages (both open and unopened) in the fridge.

I dearly loved my coffee every morning. What a blow to have to give it up! I studied Amazon for what might replace it for me. Nothing seemed an adequate coffee replacement. Okay, I finally accepted it. In looking around for something else I might enjoy, I discovered this chicory product, which I really can't name. Very early on I discovered how much I liked the flavor. I'm now at the end of my first package, have the second ready to open, and I can tell you I like it better than coffee. This is it for me from now on.

Phasing out coffee & had to mix it with instant to get flavor better, but I will buy it again!

I bought this to send my mom. Many years ago, her brother and his wife visited from Europe. They carried their own packets of instant chicory to drink in lieu of coffee. I never found them locally. I recently looked on Amazon. I also have an online store featuring coffee alternatives, as I love grain coffee drinks. I will be ordering some for myself. But my mom gave it two big thumbs up. She drinks it with a little cream, or non-dairy milk, whatever she has on hand, and a bit of sweetener.

I like the fine texture that dissolves easily and does not create a powdery cloud when I open the package. I am used to blends with a mix of barley. This product is just chickory. It tastes slightly bitter (like some coffees), but when I add milk or creamer and a spoonful of brown sugar it is just fine. It is good with flavored creamer too. I like the depth of it. I don't need more than one spoonful to attain the full-bodied drink.

I am so pleased with this instant chicory drink. I can't handle coffee anymore and was missing my morning BPC. This is a perfect replacement. :) Just put 1 or 2 teaspoons of this into your cup of hot water and add the other Bullet Proof stuff….yum. I really appreciate that the seller mentioned in the Questions section that this isn't ground-powdered chicory, and that we can just add the teaspoons and enjoy. I'll be ordering more of this stuff. Great taste and good for us too. :)

This is a real instant chicory that dissolves rapidly. I'm using it in my healthy CocoVia hot chocolate drink instead of decaf coffee. I really like the taste of a chocolate/coffee mix. Now by substituting this chicory powder I'm getting minerals along with Omega 3 and 6. The flavor is superb! I no longer need to add any sweetener like stevia to my drink as the chicory has a wonderful sweet molasses taste. I highly recommend this product!
