Easy to install and Wi-Fi repeater works a treat for me.
I bought this to replace an old single exterior socket and installation today was remarkably easy. Everything fitted well together and build quality is pretty good for the price. The locking flap is quite hard to lock but gets easier when you practice a bit. I wasn't bothered at all about the Wi-Fi extender and suspected it either wouldn’t work or would be useless but I’m happy to report that it works a treat and it immediately saw my Wi-Fi when I activated the WPS on my router. The light flashed orange then a few seconds later went solid blue meaning a connection had been established. It just worked! That never happens for me. I had pretty good Wi-Fi signal outside anyway but it looks like this thing has boosted it even further in the 2.4ghz band. I consider this a bonus on top of now having two new sockets. Quite impressed to be honest. If you have a fairly good signal outside then this gives it a bit more juice but I doubt it can do much if you have a weak signal. Worth a try if you need sockets anyway. Recommended.

works great, easy installation.
It installed great, nice and easy but had a bit of difficulty getting the Wi-Fi to sync via wps so did this manually and worked first time. The wife is happy now she can sit in the garden and use the Wi-Fi.

Waterproof electric sockets AND WiFi - all at a good price!
It really does seem to be waterproof, and the WiFi was easy to set up. Great way to put an outside WiFi repeater in the garden (Double glazing and house walls can block WiFi from reaching far outside)It does need to be able to 'see' an existing WiFi network to be able to repeat (boost) it, so it should be put somewhere close to a WiFi hub indoors - check where there is a good signal before deciding where to put it, but once a location with a WiFi signal and somewhere a power cable can be run is found it will set up easily (just normal wiring a socket) and linking to the WiFi is easy.If you are worried about putting electric sockets outdoors consider using an RCD breaker or similar on the power supply to the socket (you can get individual breaker protected plug sockets to fit to make running a cable outdoors safer - especially if you plan to use outdoor power tools on the socket)

Very Practical
I was looking for a external wifi extension and by chance came across this product which not only satisfied my need gave me a very useful external socket. Straight forward to install, set up and use and a very reasonable price.

WiFi booster socket - no good.
Fitted and wired the socket no problem and connected to WiFi network as per instructions. However the WiFi socket may give the WiFi signal a small booster, it also slows the internet speed right down. Unless I’ve done something wrong I would say it is useless as a WiFi booster. Shame because if it did what was intended it would be a simple way it increase WiFi coverage into the garden.
