You know, I didn't even realize that this set came with extra things: cording, both elastic and braided. So that was a nice surprise when I opened up this package. I also like how the strands are packed in these plastic boxes to prevent them from getting smooshed in shipment. I took one of each color, soaked it and rubbed them dry: no color fading or transfer that I can see!They were the colors and quantity shown, and all-in-all they are wonderful value.Something to be aware of, however... they have a scent to them. It reminds me on incense, and I don't like it, myself. I'm hoping that it will dissipate with time. Or, since the water-test worked, maybe I'll rinse them off... The descriptions is right, though: "beads are perfect for use with hemp," as I plan to make hemp bracelets with them as the one showed here. Hope this is helpful!

Great colors. I've only used the tan, so far. I used them with copper colored seed beads to couch some homespun wool on a mixed technique textile art piece. I think that I want the squares for my next project.
