Good DIY Option
I bought this kit because I wanted to save money by building a pergola myself while still having something nice. This kit was a big help in achieving that goal. It allowed me to keep costs down by using pressure treated lumber and doing the install myself. I would recommend this kit over some of the other options because the corner brackets have closed tops. Other lots have open tops which will let water access the cut ends of the posts. The quality of this kit is quite good considering the price. Was easy to assemble with 2 other people helping.

Good price
After looking in several websites it was the cheapest on Amazon. (I didn't want to spend a lot) They aren't heavy duty but for a modest pergola they work well. The challenge I had was fitting the 4x4 lumber in the opening because some lumber was swollen and didn't fit. I had to shave some wood off and they went right in. I did a bit more work to my pergola to make it what I wanted. Its roughly 12x16ft and the set holds it up well. I placed it on a concrete slab w anchors. Wood sold separately.

overpriced in my opinion, welds not very high quality
Overpriced in my opinion, welds not very high quality, fit & finish wasn't great, I ended up purchasing the Meruzy Stainless Steel Woodwork Pergola Kit for less money and it is better finished and stainless steel

Two People, Two Weekends
The first weekend involved pouring concrete and inserting the four bases. The second was drilling two 8 foot and two 12 foot 4x4s into their bases. Zoning codes consider this a temporary structure. Beautiful and simple.
