Love this - sadly got hot instead of medium
Love the medium sauce, it’s not actually that hot (to me). But sadly received the hot which is HOT, truly too hot to enjoy. So, stuck with 6 bottles I can’t enjoy 😢

It is healthy and a good ingredient in other things.
Think of it as a healthy blend of veggies in a jar. You can put it on top of almost anything, from obvious choices like tacos and quesadillas to pizza or burgers. It does do much better if you follow the instructions to heat it up though. As to health it is very low calorie (10 per 2 tbps which is a bit of a small serving size), but does have some salt (115 mg or 5% and again the serving size is probably half of a real serving as it is fairly chunky). Ingredients are pretty simple: Tomatoes (peeled tomatoes with Juice, calcium chloride, citric acid), roasted green chiles, caramelized onions (onions, soybean oil), sea salt, garlic. My one bit of warning is that it really isn't what I'd consider medium hot. Or honestly hot at all. I'm not a spice head but if you expect this to even be up to the levels of medium hot salsa you won't be finding it.

Delicious Green Chile
This is very good chile. We have bought it several times. Six jars arrived in perfect condition - well packaged. We cook up some pork pieces and add the chile. Tastes great with eggs. Can be used in many different dishes.

Medium is good, but received Hot
Have enjoyed Medium in the past and ordered more Medium. Received Hot this time, which I gave away. Amazon does not provide seller feedback for this product, so no way to inform seller.

... the Rio Grande restaurant in the Albuquerque airport and loved it! Had to try to duplicate it
Had green chile stew at the Rio Grande restaurant in the Albuquerque airport and loved it! Had to try to duplicate it. I had to order the El Pinto hot sauce through Amazon.com because local stores do not have it. (St. Louis area) Used the stew recipe on the El Pinto website, but substitued their hot sauce for the medium sauce. Also topped the stew with shredded cheese and fresh cilantro. This was delicious! Maybe not quite as good as the airport green chile chicken stew, but a close second! Highly recommend this sauce.

Best Salsa by far
This is by far my favorite salsa. Can't find it in stores unless you are in NM. So having it here is nice.So how to describe it? A mix of tomato and green chile. Think more fresh chopped tomato than the tomato paste/puree in red Picante salsa. It might be easier describing what it is not.The taste is NOT sour/bitter/vinegary. This salsa is NOT like tomatillo or green jalepeno salsas.

Green Chile Sauce
This is a very good chile sauce and it is much easier than making your own. So I give it a nearly as good as restaurant rating that you can enjoy in NM. Muy bueno!

El Pinto is a great product...have enjoyed it for many years!
I was purchasing this at my local grocery store but they discontinued it. I use it to make breakfast burritos, green chile chicken quesadillas also...closest to homemade I have found since living in Colorado for 20 years with a Spanish family...good stuff!
