Fairly easy install, sturdy product. Price is great.
I'm only recently solidly someone that is kind of "handy" after spending a long time being very hands off with vehicle repair or maintenance, home repairs, using power tools, etc. Finding myself unemployed for a long time early during the pandemic gave me the time to learn how things work and get back into doing my own auto repairs, modifications, etc. That back story is just so that you have a frame of reference for my review.Installation was quite simple, and took me about 90 minutes by myself but I was also multitasking and doing other little side projects and spent 15 minutes locating the appropriate tools for the install. The hitch was a very tight, close fit on my 2010 Soul +. Some of the bolts that came with the hitch seemed ever so slightly too large for my Soul, so I used some OEM Kia bolts and tightened them to the appropriate tightness, and found the hitch to be a great fit.I did the install on the most level spot on my driveway and just slid under and worked in very limited clearance (wear a headlamp!). The hardest part of the install was getting the hitch aligned so that it would slot in properly. Took me a little bit of wiggling and pulling to get it nicely aligned with the pre-drilled mount points on the car. My wife came out and helped hold one side up for a minute while I got the first couple bolts in finger tight, but aside from that it was a solo operation and could be done totally solo though it gets a little awkward underneath. The bolts that held on the metal tow point where a little tricky to unstick after 10 years of MN weather, but ultimately gave.Hitch seems very sturdy. I plan to use it for a small cargo carrier to allow us to carry a bit more gear for long haul car camping (sleeping in the soul by the way, works well with the right gear). And potentially to use as a step to get in and out of the back end of the car when we are using it as a camper with our rear tent door attachment. Doesn't mess with the clearance of the vehicle too much even for my steep driveway.

Arrived in pristine condition with all hardware included; packaged in box
Several other reviews mentioned the hitch was not packaged in a box. Mine was, it arrived in excellent condition, and included all necessary hardware. It also included 2 of the wire tools used to pull bolts through holes in the vehicle's frame.Installation was straight forward with the only challenge being securing the hitch to the frame above the muffler. My Accord is a 4 cyl, so there is only one muffler. You do have to lower the muffler by disconnecting the two hangers on either side of the muffler. I used a mixed of dish soap and water sprayed on the hanger posts to help slide the hangers off.Once installed, the hitch is stable and secure. I use it to hold a platform bike rack, and it works well.

*Draw-bar is NOT included*
Okay, so I'm not one to whine about trivial stuff in general. However, the draw-bar is clearly shown in the product pictures along with the draw-bar pin in the hardware bag. It also states no where in the product description that its not included. I think that's clearly deceiving the potential purchasers as I would not have bought from Amazon had I known that. I purposely bought everything in the "frequently purchased together" section so everything would arrive at once and I would not be held up waiting on parts ... or so I thought. Amazon is clearly the shipper and seller here, so this is on them ... please update the pictures and product description. The hitch itself is pretty simple and fairly easy to install especially with a helper for balancing the opposite side while screwing in the bolts. I personally used a floor jack for supporting the muffler and a 5 gallon pail for the receiver. It provided enough balancing support to get the job done rather easily with the rear of the car on jack-stands.I opted to watch the 2 videos on YouTube from e-trailer and decided to try using the crowbar to open the oval space for the bolt to pass thru. It worked okay, but I still had to use a Dremel once the hitch was bolted in place and took all of 2 minutes per side. In hindsight, I'd just use a Dremel and skip the crowbar. The fish wire was relatively simple but takes a little patience and maneuvering of the plate to get it where you need it to go. It probably took 2-3 mins per side to fish the wire and pull the bolt thru once the bolt and plate were in the frame. Torque to 27 ft/lb(13mm) and 50 ft/lb(11/16") per instructions. The hitch is level, fits my 2015 Focus hatchback perfectly and is quite a solid unit. Should tow my 600lb riding mower without any issues.

Easy installation on a 2011 Chevy Cruze.
Easy installation on a 2011 Chevy Cruze eco. The wire for installing the bolts is handy and smart. I was able to install it by myself without putting my car on a jack or lift. They sent the wrong one at first, but mistakes happen, they rectified it with the correct part immediately. Quick shipping both times. And no hassle when returning and getting the right one, but that might be due to amazon being simple and easy when it comes to returns or replacements. I'm excited to be able to take my bikes places now.

Fast Delivery, nice product, large shipping box, please read
I bought this for my 2007 Honda Accord EX-L NAVI 2.4L Auto Sedan.Fit is perfect. You do have to widen the frame holes as others have said, but not so bad. Have a can of undercoating handy. Widen the holes, insert the bolt and metal brace using the supplied wire and then spray any exposed metal of the car with undercoating. The good thing is, it fits nice, is well constructed and does not require any holes to be drilled in your vehicle.Originally I bought a hitch from Curt, which was fine for my bike carrier which bolts itself solid to the hitch, but then when I put the receiver in to tow a trailer, I found out the Curt hitch has an enormous amount of play. The receiver is allowed to pivot on the X-Z plane over a 2" at the ball. This is bad news for towing my snowmobile because the hitch would bang around annoyingly. I am going to pursue Curt for a refund. The Draw-tite product from Reese's family of companies holds the receiver better and is much quieter and feels more secure when under loads. The shipping box was as big as a box for a bicycle. Way too big for the hitch. Also, the hitch was not secured in the box in any way, other then some silly loose packing paper that did nothing. Mine, like others, came with one end of the hitch sticking out of the side of the box, but the hardware and instructions were in a good bag and well taped to the hitch so nothing was lost.Instructions are simple. V6 guys are going to have the extra step of the second muffler/heat shield to work with, but otherwise, a bit of can-do will have you towing in under an hour.

Perfect Fit and Easy Install 2012 Nissan Maxima
Following the instructions and also watching youtube videos it said the mufflers had to be removed. I was struggling to get the bolt off and it was not going well. I tried hold the hitch up in place and was very close to not needed the mufflers removed. Its good to have a second set of hands for this install and as we looked we figured if we rotate the hitch to the back then insert up the back end of the muffler and rotate back forward, it went right into place. One person held it in place and we marked the holes. Drilled up from the bottom with a small drill in a rotary tool ( like a dremel) then drilled the full size holes from the trunk.Bit of paint to seal things up and bolted everything.Took about an hour start to finish and that included getting the jack out and jacking up the car etc. So not hard to do and no special tools required.Rotary tool the drill pilot holesRegular drillSocket set with extension arm and swivel end to reach the front boltsTorque wrenchSome paint, undercoating etc.My only reason for 4 stars was like others have mentioned the draw bar was not included. I have contacted the seller so will update as needed*Update- I notified the seller and they shipped out the Draw Bar right away. Fast quick service

Make sure the anchor nuts are free of rust or the (6) 12x1.25 mm bolts will not go in!
18 September 2020 5:35 AM- Delivered by Amazon to my door within a week. Installed this hitch on a Canadian made 2013 base model Toyota Matrix that has 6 captive nuts in the subframe. The Draw tite hitch (24812) is Made in Mexico and well constructed of heavy gauge steel and a thick covering of paint. The hitch installation was a 15 minute job AFTER the captive nuts were cleaned up an ready to accept the included 12x1.25 bolts. This captive nut cleanup took me another 3 hours of heavy labour on my back in the garage. I was using a tapered 12mm chaser bolt and 3/4-19mm impact socket and plenty of lubricant on my impact tool!!! I was reluctant to use a 12x1.25 tap as I was afraid of breaking it in the captive nut. It was worth the effort as it fits nicely.Cheers..Gerry
