This is very absorbent once wet, just wring it out and keep drying. It's small, so the intent is not to replace your bath towel. It's great for quickly wiping your face or catching drips when in and out of the water. The benefit is that it can lay on the side of the pool or even in the water (it floats) and then just wring it out when you need to dry yourself. A regular terry towel is useless in this way because it'll be sopping wet. We have 4 of theses and they get used multiple times a week and have not faded at all.make sure to rinse with clean fresh water before storing in the container or it will mold/mildew. If storing for more than a day or two, let it dry completely between uses. It will get hard, but softens right back up as soon as you get it wet again.
