I try to move the product full with water and plastic get scratch easy, bad plastic quality too weak

very bad quality, even with all water it doesn't stop falling down with a little wind. not worth it at all

This product isn't fit for purpose. It does not hold the parasol upright so it lists badly to one side nd falls over at the slightest breeze. The plastic goes soft in the sun. It's like a chocolate tea pot! Waste of money.

Used as umbrella stand but as soon as it was a bit windy it just bent/broke

Filled item with water when it arrived and it began leaking straight away. Very disappointed.

We bought a large umbrella and it flipped over as soon as we had a little wind. This holds down the umbrella very good.

These are super sturdy and have held our large umbrellas much better than heavy stands did in the past. Just be aware that you will need to purchase quite a bit of sand to fill these up - and grab a funnel to make your life a lot easier.

If you are like me and have lost faith in Ikea's ability to deliver SVARTÖ - this base will probably work better than Ikea's original.The only issue is that one of the plugs is leaking water. I was going to buy sand anyway, but I have to do it quicker.

Fill it with water is by far the easiest way to get these things heavy enough to hold an umbrella from blowing away. The whole, where you could potentially add sand as well is very small, so in that case, you would need a large funnel with a small tip and sand that is Extremely dry so that it flows easily. I tried filling it with sand, but the sand was just too damp and it was nearly impossible to get it to go in to the plastic squares however, just filling it with water and using the four squares held my umbrella from blowing away all summer in my backyard .

These are 4 individual pieces that are not connected to each other or to the umbrella base. Must frequently push the weights back together or the umbrella falls. I bought a strap and put it around the perimeter to prevent this.
