Sugatsune, Lamp NSDX-20LK Lid Stays

A pair of these support and control lid drops on the 50x18" top of this cherry cabinet/lateral file. They were straightforward to install and required less cutout/hinge allowance than the alternatives I identified. Quality seems high and screws were included. Instructions are adequate, but I had to keep the opening angle 60 degrees (less than recommended). They still offer stable support when open and prevent crash drops very well.

It’s a good quality product. I built a toy box for my four year old granddaughter and it works very well. Beware- the instructions are not instructive. If you build a lot of chest/toy box type carcasses and have experience with lid stays, have at it. For me, who last built a blanket chest for my daughter-in-law about 10 years ago, not so much. But it’s up and running and I couldn’t be happier.

The media could not be loaded. I installed one soft close hinge on the left side as you can see in the video it closes relatively quickly but I was expecting that and will order the second hinge for the right side now that I'm satisfied with the build quality of the product itself. I don't no the weight of the lid but it's fairly heavy and with a second hinge it will close lightly. The installation was straightforward and the instructions are good.

Well made and works perfectly. Take your time on getting the mounting location correct and will work like a champ.

These things are perfect for toy box lids or any lid that you do not want to slam shut.....the smallest lid I've used this on was 11" wide by 17-1/2" deep front to back, hinged on the 11" side. Closes so smoothly you can't even hear it go shut. Adjustable for different weights of lids. Excellent product!

I purchased this for a desk I made for my Granddaughter. I wanted it to close slowly so no fingers got pinched. The first 90% is excellent, but the last 10% closes a little too fast. I have it adjusted to the minimum close rate. This closing rate still allows little fingers to be moved clear before the final closing. Materials and construction appear to be of high quality. The lid is near the maximum weight for one hinge, perhaps a second hiinge would solve the closing rate.

Installed these on several projects. Good quality. Read the directions carefully and install as directed and you will be happy with the results.

Have not had a chance to install them yet. Appears to be good quality at a reasonable price
