Excellent, convenient, no pressure loss.
Excellent and super convenient. no pressure loss although the hose is 1/2 inch, in fact I think that helps with the pressure. Compared to the regular flexzilla 5/8 hose I didn’t notice any loss of pressure. No leaks! The hose gets wrapped nicely as it moves sideways. Get your quick connects and you are ready to go. I have couple of Flexzilla hoses and they seem durable. One hose has gone through 2 summers and winters with no issues. The color faded a bit because of keeping it in the sun. These are the best hoses I came across so far. If you are tired of fighting stiff hoses that only last one season try flexzilla. This reel is even better as it makes the process super easy with the retractable mechanism. The reel itself is plastic everywhere so not sure how long it will last in an environment of heavy usage daily but in normal usage condition it should last a long time. only time will tell. Some people may find the pull a little too difficult especially if unwinding the entire hose. Although with !caution! the spring can be adjusted if needed as it is held in place by 2 screws on the side of the reel. If attempting to mess with that make sure to use e wrench at the center of the reel to hold the spring from unwinding.

Flexible house and a sturdy reel but a bit pricey
I've been a fan of Flexilla for a while, and I'm tremendously satisfied with their air compressor hoses and reels. I decided to try their Flexilla Pro water hose and reel and was only a tiny bit disappointed. The hoses are very flexible... perhaps a bit TOO flexible as they kink easily when pulling the hose out into the yard and around landscaping. The reel has been sturdy, and the Levelwind tech is excellent, ensuring the hose doesn't bind up inside the reel. So far, so good, with only a one-star ding on the "value for money" category. We'll see how well they stand up under the brutal South Texas summers.

It’s not magic!
Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have a hose reel that pulled out easily and rewound on its own? Flexzilla Pro is not that thing. It takes great effort to pull out and only rewinds with lots of help. I tried to reduce the tension to make it easier to pull out. The instructions (with teeny little print) say to hold the socket wrench “FIRMLY” while unscrewing the cover. They should say, “If you don’t hold that socket wrench like your life depended on it, it will whip around and tear your fingers off.” $130 restocking fee. This product is not practical. A spring strong enough to retract a hose full of water is too strong to pull out. Maybe a hose reel with a low torque electric motor could work. $130 restocking fee.

Auto retract fully w/o slamming at the end.
There is a noticeable difference between retracting with and w/o water pressure. Will not fully retract w/o assistance when under pressure. Though, a light push assist is sufficient. I might increase the tension a little bit. No slamming at the end right now.The water stays in the ribs of the housing, when I rinse off the hose during retracting. My dereeler is placed outside, so regular rain will cause the same issue. Not wanting to breed mosquitoes, I drilled drainholes in all ribs and accumulation areas. (I almost nicked the hose with the drillbit, should have dereeled a couple layers before drilling). That problem can easily be prevented, the manufacturer should take care of that issue with a redesign, like covex instead of concave ribs, reinforcement ribs on the underside, etc., or to avoid 2 separate dies, fill in the water holding areas with a little extra material.
