Q: Do these come in different colors?

This product comes only in one color ( orange ) because its tileable niche and cannot be used on its own ( must be tiled )

Q: Do i need to purchase kerdi board zt washers because i will need some from what i have read?

If you are installing this with drywall and the kerdi shower kit, using the membrane (rather than kerdi board), the manufacturer instructions indicate it should be installed with wood or metal screws. No special washers needed. The membrane be adhered to this using thinset. See page 23 of "Schluter®-Shower System Installation Handbook 2017"

Q: Can I use this without the rest of the Kerdi system? ie if I pour my own pan?

Not sure. I would recommend contacting Schluter Kerdi directly. They have an AWESOME customer service online sight. They will answer your question better than I.

Q: How deep is the shelf

About 3 1/2 inches. It should fit in a typical 2x4 studded wall.
