For me, the pepper grinder doesn't function well. First off, the grinder isn't very aggressive. I have to keep turning and turning to get the amount of pepper I want. And second off, the size of the grind is very inconsistent...in the same turn, I get big pieces and tiny pieces each turn. The salt is OK, but it does come out fast if you don't fill it with a bigger grind. I'd probably opt for a different set next time.Update 9/20/16: Holan Direct read my review and has fully refunded my purchase. They also said they would try to improve the grinders in the future. Good customer service.

I wasn't sure about the size, but they have great storage, no constant refilling, etc. They grind with such ease! I really hope these have lasting power, but being solid on the metal parts, I think they will be a great long-term addition to our kitchen.

Hello Ray. Just curious on how you day it's easy to clean. Yes the large part but what about inside the grinder itself. Down in deep. Do you unscrew the 4 screws or you just wiped the inside? Thank you if responding..

I loved everything about these, but... Less then one year later and the salt grinder has fallen apart. Granted, I like my salt so it gets a lot of use. I would have expected it to last longer though

The grinders work great when using fine or coarse grinding. Noticed that the "Holan" name is rubbing off. That's weird. I don't like that but it works for now as expected.

I loved this grinder for the first few months, then both of them broke on the very bottom. There is a bridge thing across the bottom that fits into place with little screws. On both my grinders, that piece broke. Peppercorns are no longer ground finely, just crushed or broken a bit. Can I get the part replaced? This seems to be a pretty bad design flaw in an otherwise good product.

Be careful that it does not come apart while you are using it as it did with me. Pepper corns where all over the place.
