Buyer Beware!
The LED lights stopped working after a little over a year. They should be replaceable, but you can't buy just the bulbs or new hood anywhere. The filter worked even less time and was progressively getting louder and not filtering the water. So, I bought a new (better) filter, but have NO light for my fish. Oh, and the website is plastics molding company and the email address for customer service doesn't send response.

FILTER IS A FISH TRAP - NOT ONCE BUT TWICE. TERRIBLE DESIGN.
My daughter received this tank as a gift for her new betta. What I thought was a freak accident of her betta being found inside the filter was a realization just 5 months later that there is an obvious problem with the design of this filter. Her second beloved betta fish was found trapped again inside the filter. The filter holds what appears to be a narrow filter compartment but with the slender body of a curious and jumping betta - not 1 but 2 got trapped inside this filter. Terrible. For what would be a .50 cent cost to cure, this company choose not to have a filter cover to prevent this from happening. Sadly, reading other reviews this can be a problem for betta owners but I would expect a fish company, not my precious 7 year old daughter, to know to prevent this and avoid absolute heart break about the suffering her fish had. I would not buy this tank. If I betta can get in it, you but your small tropical fish can too. Boo. Fix the problem while I try to fix a broken heart and what she feels we caused pain and suffering.

Love the lights & the shape!
Great for a small school of neons or a couple cori catfish. I used for a new goldfish, and when he got too big, a betta. The lights were my favorite part, so many cycling options or striaight blue, white, purple, red or green. The filter I swapped out for a sponge filter. Honestly, 2 years later I don’t recall whether it was preference or if the filter quit. This could also be a good quarantine tank or even a shrimp world.

Cheap
Had the same issue it appears like everyone had. The filter died quickly. Fish died. I replaced the filter. And a little more than a year later the lights turn off on their own and there is no way to replace just the lid or the lights. No idea how much longer the lights will even work temporarily :(

6.5 Gallon Semi-hex
This tank is ok. The filter pretty much sucked. It killed all of my guppies and broke really fast. Had to buy a new one. Kind of expected with a cheap tank. The lid doesn’t fit on tight now that I’m using a different filter. The LEDs broke pretty fast too. They were really nice before they broke, though. But it’s still a functional tank.

Once the lights go, there is no replacing the lid
I had a similar thing happen that happened to someone else. The lights quit working and I cannot find anywhere to replace them. I've had it less than a year.

Cool tank shape, but pump and light died
The tank is a very cool shape. 6.5 gallons is a good starter size. The filter pump is undersized and locked up and stopped working in the second month. The led light stopped working in the 5th month, it appears to be from moisture damage - a poor design.
