These have a beautiful pattern and weight. I haven't tried washing them but like that they are fabric not plastic. I would give them a 5 star rating BUT..... Who in their right mind sews the tag into the seam??? How unattractive on the table. I'm going to attempt to cut it off and hope I don't cut the fabric or have to take it to the tailor to fix the seam. Jeez - this should be a no brainer.

I got 4 of these for Christmas, and they looked so good in our newly renovated kitchen that I got 4 more. They're a nice weight, and the embroidery is beautiful and nicely done. Dress up your table, or use them everyday. Washed them in cold water w/ Woolite, and partially dried in the dryer, and hung to finish drying.

I was looking for a nice, durable set of placemats to be used as our "daily" set. The mats had to be durable to stand up to daily usage. I'm glad I found these mats, they seem up to the task. Not only are they very nice looking, but they're also heavy/thick enough to prevent a lot of sliding around and absorbent enough to soak up minor spills and drips. The only complaint the the brand tag that hangs off the lower left hand corner of each mat. It's rather unsightly and detracts from the overall appearance of the mat. But the solution is easy - just cut it off!

I thought I had finally found some nice place mats but ended up disappointed. I took them out of the package and ironed them so I could use them but no matter how much I tried to get the side where the design is flat it still looked uneven. After looking at it closer I noticed that the top material where the design is was larger than the bottom material. I also didn't like that you could always see the tag but I was willing to overlook that had it not been for the other issue. I returned them without any problem. Too bad because I liked the design very much.

I had company from Vermont here for Memorial weekend and needed 3 place mats because I only had 2 of everything. I found linen-like napkins to match these great looking mats. I used silver place settings, crystal glasses and English bone china. In essence, I was trying to impress. It worked !!!! These mats would make anyone's table look good enough to make a linen or damask table cloth unnecessary and still show you put your best foot forward. I was extremely confident that my table, with a vase of flowers and candles, met my high standards. I heartily recommend this product. I play Amazon Roulette with a lot of products. You think they look good on-line. You get them home and they are just horrible. Well... I hit the jackpot with these!! I absolutely cannot express enough how great these placements are!! Such High-Quality and very impressive! You get 4 for the price you would pay for 1 in one of those department type stores and much better quality of an item too!! Gotta have the matching Pillow Covers Now!!!

They washed well, but they definitely aren't wipe -clean. Food and stains gets stuck in the fabric, and are not easy to get out. Also the tags on each placemat are sewn on and are not removable. I'm not super excited that everyone of my placemats is an advertisement for the company.

These are nice, I have ordered twice for total of 8. Wish they came as set of 6. But agree with other reviewers that the unsightly overly large logo tag is very unappealing. The first thing I do is cut that ugly distracting tag off as close as I can. Seriously company, can you not do that, it ruins them. Do we really need that on our dining table linens? NO we don't.
