Really excellent coffee for a very reasonable price

Not a bold dark roast, which is what I really prefer, but overall very nice coffee. A crowd-pleaser when you are making coffee for company. And I had no issues with acid reflux after drinking, which is a huge plus for me. I’m sure I’ll buy another bag in the future!

My favorite part of opening a bag of coffee is the initial pop of aroma when it hits my nose. I'm no coffee expert. I leave that part to the people who have a deeper understanding of what makes a flavorful or dis-satisfying bean and hence a satisfying and delicious cup of coffee.This being said, I popped open my bag of Guatemala the night it was delivered and deeply inhaled. The fragrance of the beans was sweet and chocolatey. Unfortunately, I had to wait until morning for my initial taste.I use either a 6 cup Chemex or a 4 cup Bodum French Press coffee maker. This morning I used my Chemex and decided to go by the standard Chemex coffee to water ratios (plus two extra tablespoons coffee).My first taste of plain coffee isn't how I would describe the flavor. There was no bitterness! Yay! It was smooth and nutty, slightly sweet with a hint of chocolate.This is a mild coffee and not for bolder coffee drinkers, in my estimation. I usually like the Southern two-thirds coffee and one third cream or half and half ratio due to acidity. This morning was different as I didn't want nearly as much creamer so the coffee's flavors could shine through. (I usually sweeten with stevia when using half and half or use Coffee Mate Cream flavor zero sugar.)If you're looking for a bold-knock-you-on-your-butt coffee this may not be for you. But if you want a sweet, delightful beginning to your morning, give this a try.

Overall, this coffee is pleasant and easy to drink. It has a bourbon flavor with hints of fruit (blueberries to me). It is not as bold as I like, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I would recommend this to others and would buy again.Pros:- Pleasant bourbon taste with fruity highlights.- Smooth and easy to drink; not overpowering.- Packaging is resealable for those who don't have airtight containers.Cons:- Overall consistency is thinner than other coffees I drink (could be a 'pro' for some drinkers).- Moderately acidic for those who dislike acidity.

Great coffee with a strong but rich taste absolutely no bitterness. Loved it

In general the coffee was good. Quite fresh, did not cause acidity. The flavor is too mild, which is why I wouldn't buy it again, at least at the current price.

I first discovered this coffee brand when I bought a bag from TJ Maxx. The first thing I caught my eye were the graphics on the bag. I’m a rock climber and I was immediately drawn to the design. When I couldn’t find it again, because I remembered how much I loved it, I turned to Amazon to see if they carried it. Thankfully, it was there. I’ve had other Costa Rica coffee beans before and this didn’t disappoint either. Actually, I’ve been enjoying this coffee since I brewed some this morning. And, I’ve ordered from this company quite a few times already. Since discovering this coffee, it’s basically the only one I always order. Plus, I always support local and small businesses whenever I can. If you’re blind to that philosophy, you should know that this is the “business backbone” of what keeps America alive and going forward…!!!

It’s not super flavorful, but it’ll compliment whatever creamer you use it with and you’ll get this really nice coffee with a strong after taste. Also if use brew the coffee, add half a creamer cup of your choice and let the coffee get room temp and sip it while listening to music, you’ll find yourself zoning out into a nice cozy cup.
