Well, it did no rust out !!
We put water in there to keep overnight; read tons of bad reviews of so many companies; it gets a greenish copper look inside, which is normal. I have not tested it for leakage though; lives on countertop.

Disgusting taste
After about a week of using, the copper was leaching so much into the water that it was unbearable to drink anymore. It tasted like straight Pennys. Wouldn’t buy again.
