Was worried a bit from some of the negative reviews, but couldn’t help but try bc of the sale price. Turned out to be a really good lookin hat. Only negative was the hat could’ve used a bit more protection instead of the box - then again it is a crushable :p

I almost didn't order this after reading the previous reviews. But it turned out to be nice, quality hat. Made in USA. Was well packed to prevent crushing. My first stetson, good fit. Obviously does not compare with their upper end hats, but doesn't cost like one either. One reviewer was upset it comes with a chin strap, but I much prefer having it for those windy days. Easy enough to tuck it up into the hat when not in use.

Hat is very good looking and is as pictured. The stampede string is useful because I intend to use the hat while fishing, and when a gust comes up, it's easy for a hat to fly off. I've had to chase them before. If I were using it for casual wear, I might do without the string or get a different hat. The string does tuck in if you need it to. As a crushable, it's not as crisp looking as my standard cowboy hat, but then I wouldn't expect it to be. I haven't traveled with it yet so I'd need to report later about how it travels. The hat ran a little large, but the seller provided foam spacers and they worked as intended. Happy with the purchase.

I'm really happy with this hat. Its sturdy and well constructed and designed. The sizing chart is spot on. Definitely worth the purchase. I'm confident that this hat will stand the test of time

FYI My exact hat size is 7.5" and "Medium" was a tad too small for me. Your choices are S, M, L I went with "M" because I didn't want it to blow off, but there is a chin strap and maybe I chose the wrong size. This may be the reason this particular hat is priced below comparable Stetson hats -- but I'm guessing there.Came well packaged.A minor nit is that the black felt does attract cat hair and lint. A piece of scotch tape fixes it, but it's a minor negative for the black. Stetson offers a couple other colors.

This is my first brimmed hat and being from Philadephia AND recently getting into horseback riding at 35, I wanted something with class, with quality, and most importantly something practical that will withstand the NorthEast wild weather. I settled on this 100% wool cap that had the right amount of flex and stiffness. I tried a few other stetson (tried via amazon) and they were either too tight as small sizes (which is what I measured my head to be) or didn't have the right brim. This one is absolutely perfect! I wore it in the horse field on Saturday with some light rain and it held up great. I did recently dye my hair reddish so I noticed the sweatband in the front picked it up so I quickly used a tide to go pen and blotted it out. The Sante fe print in front did smear a bit with the tide pen, but the hair dye did luckily come out. I'll be more careful with it as I LOVE this hat and hope to keep it for use for MANY more years to come!

When I saw this hat the strap was the main thing it made me buy it. But when I received it the strap was not there.Hat is so nice and stylish but it loses value for me without the strap.How can I get the strap?

Delivered way ahead of schedule. The item arrived in flawless condition due to proper packing by the vendor. Most of all it fits well. Nice job to all concerned.

I rarely post reviews but I felt I would at least to dispel some of the earlier reviews I've read. This is a quality hat with excellent materials and craftsmanship. Absolutely no stitching problems with the inner hat band.Also, mine arrived in a box and was literally in excellent shape. Very fast shipping time as well.I'm very pleased with this purchase and would not hesitate to buy again!

Very happy with the hat. A real Stetson not some pretend cowboy hat! Arrived after a couple of weeks. I’ll blend right in in Arizona
