Changed My Life
These are more than just a sock. I hardly bother putting my shoes on now, I just toddle off to St Albans wearing these. I can't believe I wasted time on those stupid thin cotton impostor-socks for so long.Madame was trying to get me to send the 9 pairs I'd bought back, 'they're the wrong size' she said. Stuff and nonsense, I ripped the pack open and put a pair on and they fit just great. The size quoted on the packet was a few shoe sizes smaller than my admittedly large feet. I explained to madame that socks, unlike shoes, don't have sizes. I was right.I took one off and took a photo of it on a sheet of brass (CZ120 engraving brass, machine-finished side showing, 2MM thick) I've been wearing that one for 3 weeks now and it's as fresh as a daisy. I have good to very good foot hygiene, but I do have a leaking boot. Either way, it's holding up well.Buying these is like that time when you eventually get a BMW, Audi or Mercedes, after years of Fords and Vauxhalls. You realise you've been had, you should have just gone straight to Ingolstadt years ago*.*These socks are not made in Ingolstadt, Audis are.

Don't buy
Do not buy these socks I've not even worn them a month and two pairs have a hole in then already.( Update) to the company's credit they sent me out new socks let's see if they last more than a month.

Warm but allow feet to breathe!
Not sure how you write a review about socks, little bit of a "They are what they are" really. I ordered these as I do a lot of walking in cold weather with my photography. They arrived promptly, fitted as per the size I ordered no complaints at all there. They are long, as you would hope as they are labelled as Boot Socks. They are made of thick darn, which means whilst they keep your feet warm, they also allow them to breathe. Something other socks forget and your poor feet feel like they are in a Sauna which then becomes uncomfortable.Price wise I think they are good value as they feel like they will last for quite some time, durable is the word I am looking for. YOu can buy mass bundles from the high street retailers for a few quid, but you get what you pay for!All in all if you want a good durable pair of warm yet breathable boot socks, (3 Pairs) then buy these!JUles

Initially happy but they haven't stood the test of time
I've given these socks two stars rather than one as, initially, I was happy. They are/were comfortable and seemed good value. However the first pair effectively disintegrated after eight months and a second pair, seen in the photo, lasted twelve months with one pair remaining. In reality they have lasted a lot less time as the three pairs have been cycled around and used once per day for about 40 minutes (dog walk). I'm not sure how long it's reasonable to expect socks to last but my previous walking socks lasted many years. They're OK but my advice would be to invest in better quality.

Good looking and good fit.
Really good quality for the price, great fitting.UPDATE (12th February, 2018): Five hundred and ONE days later... and yes, the pair I most often use just for around the house, have thinned on their base. While another pair I only wear to bed are obviously in good condition, and the third I dedicate to use in wellington boots haven't been used enough to merit detailed inspection. These socks perform as expected, for the price. It good to bear in mind that nothing of natural fibre last forever, but these were a good long term purchase and once the company has diversified their colour range for men (I really would like a pair of red ones, which top out at UK 7 for women..) I will likely buy some more.

Love thy feet!
I am an unfortunate guy as in that I need a 10.5 sized shoe, I recently found a pair of walking shoes that were perfect however I could only get them in a size 11. I have purchased these socks based on other reviews saying that they are thick, hard wearing and good fitting. The socks that I bought have a size range from 8-11 and they fit fantastically. The socks when worn come up to about mid calf level and due to the slight elasticated top don't seem to constantly fall down the leg. The weave of the socks seem to be of a quality that do not have any annoying lumps that tend to lead to blisters or hot spots on the foot. After many years of wearing cheap thin socks I'm now giving my feet the loving they deserve. 5 Stars.

Very uncomfortable
I have neuropathy in my feet, and like the cushioning of thicker socks, so bought these.Unfortunately, they are so uncomfortable that I'm unable to wear them - as you walk, it feels as though the pattern of the material is pushing upwards into the soles of your feet :(Might be fine if you don't have any issues with your feet, but please avoid if you do!

Sock it to me later
The problem with writing reviews for Amazon is that some products like clothing can not be properly assessed on first wearing. These woollen socks look and feel as they should with the possible exception of the toes which feel a bit lumpy. Maybe Amazon should institute a set of 'How are they now' reviews six months after purchase when the wearer will have a better idea of their quality after they have been worn and washed several times.
