ROCKYLightweight Commercial Military Boot

Solid lightweight comfort.
This is a second pair I got (my new spare pair, 😂) because I love them. Those used ones are over three years old. They take a while (couple weeks or less) to break in and go silent. When new, they crinkle like a paper bag around the ankles. Soon that's fine and super silent. Very comfortable in the long wear through the day with more support than tennis shoes. Gripping durable soles, breathable, Nato eyelets for easy on and off. Did I mention there weight? Hardly any. I wear them almost all day everyday. Casual to work. Not waterproof but dry quickly when wet.DA PAM 670-1 (dated 31 MAR 2014)The last picture shows three years wear on the soles. Dirt, grass, yard work and all the city concrete. Worth the money to me.

Had the boot for 2+ years
I have trouble finding wide boots and these fit perfect. Bought them during my deployment at the end of 2017 beginning of 2018, and they are still serving me perfectly in early 2020. I was looking to buy another pair of boots to start breaking in and I came back to look at these same boots and was surprised to see such bad reviews. Although I do agree with some things that were said I don’t necessarily consider them bad enough to give these anything less than 5 stars. The two boots are slightly different in color and have faded from a true coyote brown to a lighter coyote or dark tan. But still coyote enough to stay in regs. They are a little heavier, and that seems to mostly be in the sole. Which I don’t mind because in these two years the sole and tread have barely worn down and haven’t fallen apart at all. I also have not experienced any of the tears I’ve seen in some people’s pictures. The price does seem to have gone up a little bit from what I remember when I bought these last but I plan on buying another pair.I’ve had these for 2+ years and see no reason why they won’t last me at least another year or two. The best and most reasonably priced wide boot out there. Even if I didn’t wear a wide ide probably buy them. They’ve lasted longer than any other boot I’ve had.

Uncomfortable. Too many hot spots.
Really wanted to like these boots. I've worn Rocky C4T in the past (AF Sage Green), and I remember them being really light and comfortable. These looked really close to the C4T's but I guess they aren't.Hot spots around the ankle, inner and outer, and I can't seem to locate the sticking points. Maybe they just needed to be broken in, but if they don't, then I'm stuck with a $170 boot that I can't wear. They look nice and durable, but just too uncomfortablly stiff.

The glue is wearing our on the boots not the tread. Horrible thing to happen
Purchased the boots for garrison duty to have clean boots. So that's saying I don't do anything but walk in them. I bought two pairs and rotation is happening (old soldier) and I notice the glue is separating from the tred. My tred is like new and I would never expect this from a company I have bought b4. I can fix with shoe glue but the quality is not that of a boot for the military use.Update! 5 oct 2024Called the company and sent photos. They sent me a new pair. Good service

Worse boots I ever brought. Complete waste of money
I ordered these boots at the beginning of my deployment and 4 months in they have faded, got really fuzzy and the brown on the metal around the holes for the laces has chipped away leaving a shiny metal color. I am very disappointed as I had these boots in the tan version and they were GREAT. These on the other hand are the worse pair of boots I have every brought in my 10 plus years in the Army. They are suppose to be coyote in color and they faded within the first month and now look almost as tan as my tan boots. The boots are also way too wide. This is one of my easier deployments. I'm not patrolling or hiking up and down mountains so there is no reason that the boots should have deteriorated so quickly. I have never wore them to ruck because they are too wide. Looking at the pictures you would think these boots were older than 4 months and worn on several ruck marches and patrols.

My satisfaction is higher the the CDC's inflated numbers.
The only complaint comes from my lady, because of me not cleaning the soles before going in the house. I have had these boots in the mud and muck pretty much from the time they were delivered, and they are doing great, both in keeping my feet dry (my lady d treated them with wax/followed by a bit of heat), but not picking up foxtail. I'm very happy, and plan to purchase another pair when there is a good sale.To let you know how hard I am on boots, Many times I've spent $500 to $800 on a pair. Once I picked a pair up at the local shoe shop. A place that tells you to bring them in for a cleaning/conditioning/check-up, about every 3 months. Well I went back, they took the boots and repeated the 3 month thing... I looked at them and said it was another clerk that sold them to me 4 weeks ago. .This pair of boots once the mud is dry, brushes right off. And the stitching is holding up great.

Not worth it.
The boot looks great, it fits true but that's where the good ends. This boot sounds like a water bottle crinkling when you walk, it doesn't hug the ankle what so ever, so if you want ankle support for rucking or anything this isn't the boot. It's heavy, not like other warm weather boots. Can't reccomend these boots. Look elsewhere.

Comfortable Boots with promising future.
I wanted to write a review on these boots as well as discuss the common discomfort in the left boot. These boots look like the C4T but are a bit different. Although I have always loved the C4T, they are essentially sneaker boots and aside of utility around base when you really get out an about they weren’t great for the environment. These boots seem more substantial in their construct of the sole as well as the leather. They looks similar however are a bit more stiff initially. Not with regards to the pain inside the boot for the left foot. I found this common with most Rocky’s. It seems the construction of the leather leaves a flap that will slightly fold over right near your toes, if you don’t flatten this flap out it will bring a pretty good bit of discomfort while you wear. I found that you need to fully loosen the laces and position your foot inside sliding it back and forth to let the flap sit flat. After a few times of wearing this way it shouldn’t matter anymore as it will soften and not fold over anymore. Hope this helps, a bit of a pain (literally) but I still like the boots a lot.

Excelente material, suela y peso.
