Love all her stories
I love everything I've read of Ms. Palmer's books! However, this and 1 other story I read over and over and over. I love how both main characters grow no matter how they feel about themselves or each other.

It was a really great Diana Palmer read. I am a huge D P fan. It doesn't take me long to read her books. This one took me 2-3 hours. Not solid though. I did other things while reading the book like cooking and cleaning. Whoo, there were moments I would have slapped Cal upside the head for his treatment of Nora. Just because she was an easterner and didn't know better. He made it up to her in the end like always. I think we all can relate to characters like Nora. Brought up a certain way to avoid a certain kind of people. Anyways, loved the book.

Another Palmer winner!!!
I have read this book many times and had given away my copy and of course promptly regretted it... so had to buy another copy! This is one of Palmer's historical books and it is very well written and follows history pretty well while telling a great story! But then most of her books do. I just finished rereading a number of her books and they hold up better than a lot of other writers' books.

One of the Best
I wish that Diana Palmer would write more books like this one. She gives a special place for the female heroine. I have read this book 3 times since I purchased it. I still enjoy it, along with Lacy, Magnolia, and a few others. Write more like this please Mrs. Palmer.

Her outlook was fresh
She is such a wonderful worker and person, never thought of herself only what the children needed and so young. We all could take lessons from her life. I wish I could meet her. In fact I would like to meet all the characters I read about.

Excellent
Nora goes to her aunts family and falls for their foreman of the estate. She falls for him and it shows how her parents disown her and how the Victorian era was biased against women. The foreman in fact turns out to be a wealthy man and it all ends up well. This is why I enjoy Diana's books so much.

western, historical
