I was hesitant to order the stone heart sight unseen, but had a good experience with A&S Crystals so thought I would give this retailer a chance. I generally only collect one of any particular stone type, so I was disappointed that there was so little contrast between the colors. In real life, you can't even see the colors visible in the picture. I just looks like a blackish stone unless put it under bright light.I received a replacement (on the right in the comparison photo) which I will keep since it has more color variation. I also increased my rating slightly as I suspect that it is more the stone than the retailer that is the issue. Dragon Blood stones with bright red are very striking, those with little or no red are not. Still on the lookout for a better specimen.My advice . . . buy a specific specimen rather than a pot luck smaller stone for any stone with significant variation in pattern.

Not quite as big as they're supposed to be but close. You can't actually see the colors or design without BRIGHT light. Used flash for pics. Appreciated the even smaller gift hearts. Just not what I expected. I would give 4 stars but I'm honestly disappointed 😞
