Since it is plastic, it’s very lightweight and easy on your hands and wrist. The teeth does a great job at gripping hair, and holds a good amount. But since it is plastic, it is somewhat pliable.I didn’t have any problems with any teeth breaking off though. It’s easy to hold while using scissors and clippers. It’s easy to see in hair, and not just good for using with clippers but it also did a great job as a regular comb, and using after applying gel or hairspray, it spreads gel through hair evenly.The whole comb measures 7” long and about an inch wide at the largest part, but slowly gets smaller towards the other end (a little under an inch). Both length of the wider teeth and thinner teeth are split evenly down the middle so 3.5” long for each.Overall, it’s plastic, but pretty durable, I like the length, and the teeth, easy to comb and hold, and i would recommend.

I've cut mine and my husband's hair for over 20 years now and I've spent a lot of that time looking for THEE perfect hair cutting comb. I think I've finally found it! This cutting comb is not only lightweight and super strong (more on this in a minute), it is surprisingly easy to handle despite the size. I love how strong the teeth are on this comb, but not because my other combs break. The problem with flimsy combs is that the teeth bend with use and over time you end up with a damaged comb that pulls hair and causes tangles or pain. That isn't going to happen with this comb, even with the fine teeth. I love the difference in size between the large and small teeth because there is actually a difference, unlike cheap combs that offer small teeth and slightly less-small teeth. While $8 may seem like a lot for a comb, if you cut hair you understand why a good comb is important. I am so happy with this comb and I am pretty sure it will be around for many years.

This comb is not what you expect for a good reason. First I want to say the quality of these combs from this brand have been nothing but great for me. Secondly, the quality is there and the overall product just does what its supposed to do without being cheap junk I will throw out next year for looking crusty, this is the real deal and I love the combs made by this brand. I hope this helps someone.

My son (7) has finally had his first real haircut since we were just buzzing it with a guard during COVID and he was too young to go to sit still for a real cut pre-COVID. I will say that barbers are super skilled and now my son wants to "do" his hair. The barber showed us how to comb it with gel to get it to look the same and I discovered that we didn't have a proper comb to get the job done (we only had super wide and super fine combs). This taper comb is perfect for him! It works really well to part his hair and the teeth are the right distance apart to get the same effect as the barbershop. We are super happy!
