I bought this after reading the great reviews from folks and wanting to buy something to deodorize the smell from my brand new car, but I was really skeptical on whether the product really works or not. Like many of us, my car is my pride and joy and I wanted to buy something that will soak up the smell after I've gone out to the bar or ordered food to-go and not have the smell linger around inside my car. I got tired of spraying Lysol's disinfectant after so many food runs.This bag, so far for me, really works. It does take some time for it to 'deodorize' the smell, but eventually you'll notice it. Yes, it looks very hispter-ish, but that is what makes the bag really appealing! It's nicely made and there is a ring at the corner where you could potentially hang it in a room or anywhere you would like. For $11, it's definitely worth a try.My answers to some of the frequently asked questions:How many square feet does this work for?I think this is a hard question to answer. The square footage calculation is based on a variety of factors. Where it's placed? How long has the smell been in the space? Etc. I placed it in my car and it works like a miracle. From reading other reviews it's an average of about 350-500 square feet.My home is small so cooking odors linger. If I get two and stick them near the stove, will this help in addition to my exhaust fan to stop odors?Yes, it will, but not a miracle product that can get rid of the odor. It will help lessen the lingering smell and kill some bacteria, but don't expect it to work instantly.Do you need to 'activate' the charcoal when first using, OR are the pouches ready to use right out of the packaging? If need to activate first, how?The charcoal "activates" constantly and works right out of the box. Activated charcoal is a natural way to purify air and I am so happy that I bought this for my home. I have two dogs who can be quite stinky, and having this near a vent with the air flowing has made my home smell 100x better.I also started using this in my car after going to the gym daily and it really has been so helpful, in such a small space, odors tend to stick and not go away, when placed by one of the vents, I felt like I quickly was driving a newer fresher car!

My son is 20 years old and works in the kitchen at a very busy local restaurant. His room is rather small so smells tend to build up rather fast. However since I've hung this bag it has started to smell a lot better. The advantage of using this is there is no spray so you are getting rid of the scent not covering it up. Plus you don't have the sickening sweet smell comes with those sprays. This is truly great for your car, room closet or just about any place where odors build up!!

Works as advertised. Removed a strong paint odor from the inside of my car after it had been to the body shop. I had to leave it in there for a week or so, but the odor is completely gone. Haven't tried it in a larger area like inside the house yet, but I suspect it would work there too.

Within minutes the apartment smelled odorless. The best perk about these guys is that they just need to be in sunlight to reactivate. I may have went overboard, but I bought one for every corner of my apartment, and a few more for the closets. the smaller ones for boots are just as effective
