Well Developed Story and Characters
Still reading well-researched historical novels about WWII women pilots, female fighters in the French Resistance, and Ravensbruck - the all women concentration camp in eastern Germany. Astonishing is the fear these women experienced, and their bravery and resilience.Although Natasha Lester’s books are formulaic, they are different enough from each other to not be predictable. The settings and characters are well-developed, and the endings are full of twists, turns and surprises.I plowed through ”The Paris Seamstress” like a mouse through a grain silo (but without the droppings) and appreciated her frank depiction of the Ravensbrück concentration camp. Her Author’s Notes are a must read before you read the first word and after you read the last word of the books.Recommend for weekend reading? You bet!

Another good book from Natasha Lester
I appreciated the detail of live in France and North America during WWII and the detail of the fashion world then and now with the two timelines was fascinating, although somewhat hard to keep track of at times. I will order more of her books!
