DRILL A WEEP HOLE IN HOUSING
Nice Fixture to replace 15 year old PAR38 exposed fixtures that had all rotted. Be sure you understand, they are BIGHOWEVER: If you mount these looking up, even slightly, find the low spot on the bottom of the fixture and drill a weep hole 3/32” or 1/8” (2-3mm) thru the sealed housingDespite nice o-rings and grease (I added vacuum grease when the piece didn’t have enough) they will fill with water after only one downpour. If you are having an electrician install, be sure to ask, tell, them to do this. Otherwise you will be shorting out in no time,

Solid and resisting salt in Florida. I you need 120v landscape lighting.
For years, I had been using Nuvo lighting an inexpensive 120 v option. With Florida’s salty air, I would replace these Nuvo lights every second year as they would break with the salt attacking the metal. What a drag when you consider the time spent changing the fixture. Hinkly’s are are 3 times more expensive. After 6 years, the Hinkley’s are like new. So, as a minimum, it’s a breakeven from a price perspective. And I have saved time not changing my broken Nuvo’s. Not to mention the bulb protection and other superior features. Hickley’s are bigger than the Nuvo’s. I got used to the bigger size and appreciate their longevity.

Bigger is not always better
The light housing itself is very well constructed and works just as described. The issue I have is that this unit is twice the size of anything else Iv'e used and looks out of place in a typical house illumination set-up. With the size also comes the extra weight which makes this somewhat cumbersome to aim properly. The other item to note, as with most outdoor light housings now, there is no ground post or junction tube included. Finding one these days isn't an easy task either. One strong enough to support this mammoth is a different challenge altogether. Make the note before buying!

Excellent, stout, and heavy duty light. Your search ends here.
I purchased this light at a discount, through Amazon Warehouse, but would be just as happy had I paid full price. This light is where I ended my search for a heavy duty, line voltage landscaping light that wouldn't break the bank. While the light is listed as a "spot" style light, it definitely radiates quite a bit to the sides, which is acceptable to me, but may not be to some with windows around 45° to each side of the intended light path. The only complaint I have is the listed size of the threads at the base. They're listed as 1/2 inch, however it does *not* thread into a 1/2" junction box. I'm assuming you need to purchase their stake if you want a clean threaded fit. I decided to use a box, as I wanted waterproof connections. The nut at the end of the threads made the fit snug with some silicon persuasion.

These are very solid outdoor lights. I was sick and tired of the fickle MR16 fixtures so I replaced all of them with these. These lights are very sturdy and heavy with several layers of protection from wet weather. There is a durable seal around the glass rim. The bulb holder has a sleeve that grips the bulb and protects the electrical components from water. The cover fights snugly onto the base and is protected by two plastic sleeves to make it watertight. And there is a seal at the bottom where the wires come out. I am very impressed by the construction, especially compared to other lights that I looked at.I has an electrician install it but you can do it yourself. It is pretty straightforward.

Glass on Light was cracked.
I opened the box to install the light today and the glass was cracked. If it rains, the light isn't waterproof. I would return but the return window closed on June 9. Not worth ordering, stay away from this seller.

Heavy-duty yard spot light
The electrician who installed this spotlight said it was the most heavy-duty model he has come across. It was easy to install into a standard threaded post. It works with 120V hard-wired electrical line, which means you don't need to buy a transformer box and bury it in the ground to handle the lesser-voltage LED lighting fixtures. More importantly, the electrician said the bulb is tightly sealed from the weather. And the angle of the light is easy to adjust.
