What every biker should buy
The best return for your buck. A little technical to install initially but what an ease of handling your bikes with quick and fast loading and unloading. It is sturdy and fits perfectly onto a 2-inch hitch. Your bikes are safe and secure, it's made for long travels. A security cord is an added advantage. When installed, the internal locking mechanism keeps the carrier intact. No wobbling. Straps are added security. When I am not using it I usually keep them folded. Oh yes, they can be folded and look amazing. I wanted to keep my 3 new bikes secure and wanted something that was affordable in terms of price. This is a middle-tier bike stand in terms of price with top-tier quality.

This is a great bike rack. Perfect value for what you get.
Previous to this rack I went ‘cheap’ and bought an Allen rack for $120. It was really well made but there was an engineering flaw in how they adapted it for a 2” hitch. So I sent it back and spent 3 days researching racks. This rack was a lot more $$$ but was/is totally worth the expense. It’s really well engineered and built. It’s a super smart design that has impressed me.So in my research I saw some people saying it’s hard to assemble. It’s not really. IKEA furniture is more frustrating. I got the 3 bike version, so you are assembling 9 components. The instructions are clear and I did it in our basement on the floor, which made it a bit more annoying. It took about an hour and half. If I had a table I’m sure it would have taken an hour max. It’s not complex, it’s just repeating the same thing 3 times.I will say it’s heavier than I was originally looking for. I wanted my wife to easily attach it to the car. But it’s a little too heavy for her. But it is incredibly easy to attach. You slide it into the hitch and just play with how far in or out until you can slide the pin in. And that pin is key for me - I feel confident the whole thing won’t fall out, which the Allen at 2” didn’t have. But then they have this tool that you use to tighten it up so it doesn’t wobble, and that thing is amazing. This rack is unbelievably sturdy. And it is so easy to use. The design is genius. The U shape means it’s easy to walk bikes in for placement unlike racks that have dedicated rails. And the tire channels also are a super smart design choice. The lock is also a really nice design touch. Once the bikes are off the step pedal makes it really easy to fold it up. And on our VW Tiguan nothing obscures the brake lights. But 2 small issues - when you have bikes on the rack it’s hard to reach the pedal to drop them so you can get into the trunk (great feature TBH, just not easy to get to, but you can work around it.)Second is this rack sticks out quite far and I wish they provided some reflective material for people to see it at night. It’s an easy fix - just buy some reflective tape.If you are looking for a 2/3 bike hitch rack I honestly think this thing is what you are after. Great engineering, well built and apparently they planted a tree because we bought it, so a good company. And I’ve never written a review before (okay I did tell people not to buy that Allen product, but that was more like a warning!) I really love this rack. I like it when something exceeds my expectations, because my expectations are so low these days. Kudos to these folks for all they do.

Well Designed, Easy to Use
I am totally pleased with this hitch rack. While it is a bit of a challenge to assemble (2-3hrs for me), it is well worth the investment in time and money.Since the purchase 6 mos. ago, we used it on a 2500 mile round trip from NY to FL, and two 500 mile round trips to New England. No problems whatsoever.1. Assembly: My advise is to watch every YouTube video on assembly that you can find. Then examine every screw that is needed for assembly. Make sure you have a good idea where they belong. (I had to back out a few times). Take your time and follow the directions carefully. Once assembly was completed it was perfect. Parts fit together well, nothing has come loose.2. The anti rattle cam works, no need for an extra anti rattle device. I don't have a torque wrench, so I tighten by hand, and it works fine. I am careful not to over tighten.3. Easy to mount and remove on my vehicle (Rav 4). I have the 2" receiver. I bought a locking pin, seemed like a good idea.4. Bikes are a stable on the road. Very little rocking. Easy easy to mount the bikes once the rack is installed. Takes only a couple of minutes to load or unload the bikes.5. The rack tips down past horizontal enough when the bikes are mounted so that they clear the tail gate of the Rav 4 when it opens.6. The rack folds up vertically when bikes are not loaded allowing normal driving.7. I use the built in lock and wire cord for quick stops, but double it up with heavy duty bike lock for higher long term security. So far the rack is holding up and I expect it to last many seasons, as it appears well constructed.Hope this is helpful.

Solid easy to use carrier
I’m glad we spent the extra money. This carrier is solid and hold the bike very well. They don’t move during transport and the anti-rattle built into the hitch works perfectly. There is really nothing to rub against your bike frames. The tilt mechanism is easy to use and works for storage, carrying, and tilt away to access the back of our van. I really appreciate the integrated bike locking cable. It laces through the bikes and locks directly into the carrier frame.Easy to use.Top quality construction and components.Nice quality of life features.Doesn’t move when installed correctly.

Excellent and strong product
Easy to assemble, very strong and holds our 3 bikes comfortably. Very well designed. Yes it may be a little heavy, but at least with 3 mountain bikes we don't have to worry about the somewhat unrealistic weight restrictions per bike as some other famous brands have - I think those are only made for lightweight road bikes. We are SUPER happy with our purchase.
