Red Light, Green Light...not a game
Pros: I can get up to pee in the middle of the night like a Ninja. Until i flush. Then it's not so stealth. Still incredibly awesome, wows my guests, and provides a great distraction when my bathroom ain't so clean. Red light kinda yells at my hubby for leaving the toilet seat up so I don't have to.Cons: Does not tell my hubby to put the new toilet paper on the roll.

Works as advertised, up lid or down lid
These work great -- my wife likes the red light warning "lid up" feature. Also, I like the idea that it mount on the lid and not the down on the bowl. Maybe I am not a straight shooter? But our toilet bowl rim and inside rim gets a bit messy from time to time and needs constant cleaning, and this is right where the other brands want you to put their lights? This product, however, is up, up out of the way and the plus is the two lighting and warning features. Lid down, motion detected, turns green for go ladies go. Lid up, motion detects, STOP ladies, lid up, or go at your own risk. Someone said these were cheaply made and they could hardly get the batteries in. They are no cheaper made than any plastic items you buy these days, they appear to be durable and suited to the purpose they were designed for. As for the batteries, maybe other reviewers are not familiar with the spring loaded battery compartments -- you push the base of the battery into its spring seat and push down the positive end into its "spring" load area - they slide right in. This kind of battery compartments keeps the batteries in place just in case, say, you drop the lid, it is not a design flaw.

UPDATE: Vendor shipped new replacement unit, which worked as promised, profusly appologized for defective unit. Excellent Svc
Received unit in a timely manner and it was well packed, I inserted two brand new "fresh" batteries, there was a flash of red light from the unit and nothing more. Removed and reinserted batteries, no red flash this time. Left batteries in and installed unit as directed in the instructions, 3 days now and it has never worked as advertised.....dead as a doornail, maybe it will fall off the toilet lid and "flush away".

Works as Advertized. Tried the lighting in a darkened room and works good. Really like the fact that it turns off after 30 seconds or so. Then comes back when there is motion nearby.

Great for the middle of the night...
Great product. Motion activation always works and light is gentle on the eyes in the middle of the night.
