Our Earth's Secrets Castile - 2 Lbs Melt and Pour Soap Base

I cut the soap into small chunks, and melted it over a double boiler. The other ingredients incorporated well and easily.I haven't used the soap I made just yet, but in cleaning my supplies it works great!

This castile melt and pour soap is excellent, and I love the natural ingredients. I'm particularly happy that it doesn't contain propylene glycol, like most of the other soap bases from Our Earth's Secrets (and to be fair, that of many other companies).Please be aware: this castile soap base dries and hardens extremely fast- it was hardening while I was pouring it into the molds, which is not what I experienced with the olive oil, glycerin or hemp seed oil soap bases. So make sure your soap base is very hot and fully melted before pouring. Because the white color is totally opaque, you can't easily tell if there are still small chunks of soap that haven't fully melted yet. So stir carefully and melt really well before pouring slowly into your mold.Otherwise, this company has very good melt and pour soap bases, and the hemp seed oil base is my favorite so far. I highly recommend it. The price gets a little high if you're a regular user, and I'd prefer if they offered subscribe & save with their products. I bet customers would be much happier with that option and more willing to purchase on a regular basis.

Earth Secrets is a great place to buy melt and pour soap base. Like the Shea Butter I like to cut it in bars and just use as is. Very good for the skin.Use on grandkids. Great sensitive skin soap. I make my own soaps too so I can tell quality in a soap base. This is wonderful and I recommend them highly. Good quick service when you order. Always a quality product.

When I originally ordered this my account said it was delivered but I never received a code for the drop off locker to pick it up. When I called to follow up, Amazon kindly refunded me so I could reorder. I'm thankful for Amazon's great customer service.Overall, this product is perfect for beginners. It was just soft enough to cut through easily. It held my essential oil scents very well. I added 100 drops of EO per pound of soap. I was able to make 5 four ounce bars of soap per pound. I will definitely purchase again.

I was looking for a base without colorants, and this was advertised as not containing titanium dioxide

This is the best soap base I have come across. Not only is it moisturizing, but it molds very well and and was easy to work with. I was able to make 12 4oz herbal soap with this 2lb base. Would definitely purchase again.

This soap base is very nice and feels soft on the skin. It's odorless and combines well with essential oils. I added 1 tsp of sweet almond oil and coconut oil for my soap and still had a good lather. I only wish it was cheaper, but it is a good soap base.
