Ruthless Knight

another spellbinding installment in the series
Cole Covington, the epitome of the popular heartbreaker, takes center stage in this electrifying romance. With his devastating good looks and charming demeanor, Cole seems to have it all. But beneath the surface lies a darkness that only a few can see. Enter Sawyer Church, the bible-thumping nerd who captures Cole's attention in unexpected ways. Sweet, sarcastic, and unapologetically herself, Sawyer challenges Cole's perceptions and ignites a flame of passion that neither can ignore.A. Jade expertly navigates the complexities of high school dynamics once again, infusing the narrative with drama, angst, and unbridled emotion. Cole and Sawyer's journey is a rollercoaster of emotions, as they confront their inner demons and navigate the tumultuous waters of young love.Ruthless Knight’s exploration of themes such as pain, redemption, and the transformative power of love. Cole and Sawyer's relationship is far from perfect, but it's their imperfections that make them shine. A. Jade doesn't shy away from the darker aspects of their story, reminding readers that sometimes the most beautiful souls hide the greatest pain. While Ruthless Knight can be read as a standalone, readers are encouraged to start with Cruel Prince for a better understanding of the family dynamic. The warning attached to the series is reiterated here: Royal Hearts Academy is not for the faint of heart. It's a series filled with flawed characters, intense drama, and boys who are truly ruthless.Ruthless Knight is a gripping and emotional journey that will leave readers spellbound from beginning to end. Ashley Jade once again delivers a compelling narrative that will linger in the hearts of readers long after the final page.#BookReview #RuthlessKnight #RoyalHeartsAcademy #AshleyJade #Romance #HighSchoolDrama #NewAdult #Warning #MustRead #Bookstagram #RoyalHeartsAcademy #Cole #Sawyer

So refreshing!! (Spoiler Free Review)
Full disclosure, I got this book from BookTok. And for the first time after being swayed by the TikTok algorithm, more than once, I loved the book!Listen, I love a good non-plot smutty book as much as the next person (maybe a bit more). But one can only read so many of those untill they need something a little more... substantial. This book is that.I can't remember that last time I was actually so entertained by a book that I forcibly had to tell myself to slow down. At the rate I was absolutely devouring the plot, I could have read this in a day. But I didn't want it to end, so I limited myself to 10 chapters a day.As a plus-size girly myself, Sawyer's character arc hit very close to home. I think the author did a really great job handling her character and the way Sawyer feels and acts. It was so refreshing to read about a FMC that wasn't a complete pushover/brat/child (iykyk...) Sawyer is smart, caring, and has a real backbone.Cole is kind of a d*ck and does a lot of questionable things (hence the bully trope), and throughout all of the things he does Sawyer calls him out on his BS.She doesn't let him walk all over her. She is a good match to his wit/rizz. Their interactions were diverting to read and had great flow. This book was surprisingly romantic and touching. These characters dealt with a lot of heavy subjects, and I think the author did a really great job fleshing out characters' feelings and thoughts. Once Cole lets down his walls, he is actually really devoted, sweet, and caring.Something that I think a lot of Enemys-to-Lovers writers forget about is the 'empathy and tenderness' turn point. The "to" in "enemys TO lovers." I really liked and appreciated that this author pointedly chose to include that prominent turning point.---Final thoughts (Spoiler Free):I've read a lot of throwaway books (like a lot), and this book is not one of them. I can definitely see myself rereading this book on a rainy day. In fact, this book was so good that I will be buying book 1 as well. (This book is totally a standalone! But, after being introduced to the first book's characters, I'm intrigued to learn their storyline). Is this book dramatic? Yes.Is the ending a tiny bit rushed? Yes.Does Cole act a little too irrationally at times? Yes.But God is it compelling!Plot: 8/10Spice: 🌶️🌶️ (I mean, it's a highschool romance so... But don't get me wrong. These kids get freaky!)Big Feels: 8/10Characters: 9.5/10Over All: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Ruthless Knight Review
Ruthless Knight was one of the most moving books I've read this year. I cried practically the entire book, how much did I identify with several of the subjects covered in the narrative.Ashley Jade's writing has evolved a lot, there is a huge difference in the way the words were placed in the first book, to the way they were worked in the second. Through Ashley's writing, the reader really connects with the characters and the narrative.Ruthless Knight has 100 chapters plus an epilogue, but even with a large amount of chapters, Ashley managed to write a coherent, cohesive and fluid narrative, without it sounding repetitive.Swayer is one of the strongest and most warrior characters I've ever seen. She went through so much, felt so many bad things, and still managed to turn around and started to love herself more, to value herself more. Ashley managed to develop and address the character's eating disorder very effectively and responsibly. In addition, the development and evolution of the character as a whole was beautiful.Cole is a broken character on the inside, just like Swayer, but he shows his suffering in a different way. Cole is a strong character, but one that irritated me for much of the narrative. Despite this, he was a character that evolved a lot and had an extremely cohesive development, because when you finish reading, the reader understands all facets of Cole. He is extremely complex, and Ashley managed to get through that complexity very well.Swayer and Cole's relationship was marked by a beautiful story, where two extremely broken people fall in love and become each other's rock. After the conflict between them passes, the two get involved in a way where one helps the other, where one raises a hand to the other. It was extremely beautiful to be able to follow every bit of their story.

Get ready for an emotional rollercoaster
Ruthless Knight is Book #2 of the Royal Hearts Academy Series by Ashley JadeI liked the first book of this Series a lot. The second one is a little bit different. It's more in every way. There're a lot of topics in this book, which are present everywhere these days. I think it's important to be aware of these issues a lot of people have.I liked that this book isn't just a love story. It's so much more. It goes deeper.Once you start reading, you can't put this book down.At one point, I was lying in bed (sandwiched between my sleeping kids) and i started crying so hard it was almost impossible to hold back the sobs (fortunately the kids didn't wake up 🙈). In my head there was only one possible end and I thought "Don't you f***ing dare, let this book end like this"..Of course it didn't end like the worst case senario in my head, because Ashley Jade is a great author. She lets you feel all the emotions the characters are going thru.I liked Ruthless Knight, but I also think that for some people it could may be too much to handle. And let's not start with the sneak peek of book #3 at the end. It's like the drama increases with every new book of this series 😱
