This is by far the best ride I've ever had. It looks awesome and sounds even better. Its definitely a workhorse, very versitile. It has a great controllable wash, awesome articulation, the bell projects really well and my favorite part, it can crash.

Nice cymbal. Replacing a cracked cymbal on one of our church kits. The drummers keep hitting them with sticks, then they break! Go figure.Sounds nice though.

My new favorite cymbal, the sound is unreal

Cymbal arrived damaged. When I looked in the box, it had a return package slip from another customer even though it was advertised as new. Buyer beware.

Been playing 57 years and never had a 21" A Sweet Ride, traditional finish. Keeping in mind that the sound anyone is looking for is totally subjective and changes according to application... I personally preferred this to 22" A Medium, 21" K Sweet, 21" K Custom Organic and 20" & 22" K Constantinople Medium-Thin Lows I've had. Being an A series of course means it has that silvery tone that some players may not like. The stick definition is not heard well when playing it. It is much more distinct and just right for me when heard on the audience side. For less than high volume and quick decay at home I have 16" A Med.-Thin and 18" Thin crashes with 14" A New Beat hi-hats (sold a 20" A Thin crash that was too loud and gong-y played at home). I think these sound great with most genres. Playing them side-by-side, I discovered that this ride sounds like the Organic Ride when a silicone gel is applied in a certain location to increase attack and decrease sustain. This is the one my descendants will get.

Cymbal is as advertised but did not arrive on time

Another cymbal that is a little bright for me, the Zildjian A medium ride is much warmer rides about the same but has a better crash, I have played the sweet ride off and on for years not impressed. Play the medium A and a sweet ride side-by-side medium A sounds so much better

It arrived scratched to edge and top despite being a 'new' cymbal. Shoddy from Amazon and from Zildjian for dealing with them. Do not buy cymbals from Amazon.

Il va falloir que Amazon comprenne qu'une cymbale, même si c'est en métal, c'est FRAGILE! Je l'ai reçue dans un carton rectangulaire, sans "papier bulle", dans son sac plastique Zildjian éventré; à croire que la personne qui l'a emballée a piqué une crise de nerf dessus. Quand le livreur me l'a tendu, la cymbale a basculé d'un bout à l'autre du carton et je l'ai rattrapée au vol, certes sans dommage. Par contre, une fois déballée, je découvre une petite griffe de 8mm environs(voir photo). Rien de dramatique, mais quand même... Bon, je l'ai eu en solde pour 222 euros, alors j'ai décidé de la garder. Elle sonne très bien, tant en ride, qu'en crash. La cloche est, elle aussi, très agréable. Elle porte bien son nom de "sweet". Le principal reproche, que je peux lui faire, est d'être justement, un petit peu trop "proprette". Il est plus difficile de la travailler, façon jazz ou solo. Ayant déjà une excellente ride principale très différente, je l'ai achetée en seconde ride, pour diversifier mon panel sonore. Je suis donc satisfait de cette cymbale.
