Ugh! Rug would be beautiful and perfect for us EXCEPT that the green which appears a relatively solid shade in the photo is tiger striped on the rug we got – with striping throughout of very pale green and a fairly dark green. There is a lot of contrast between the 2 greens and it gives the green 'ground' of the rug a distinct striped appearance that clashes a bit with the floral design and makes the rug very 'busy' in appearance. We have several other Safavieh wool rugs and while the colors can have soft variations within them; we have not run into this problem of excessive contrast before :/ I will add a photo if I can figure out how. . . (Edit: there doesn't seem to be anyway to add a photo to this review)We are keeping it the rug because it's so big/heavy and would be difficult to package up and return and trying to work around it by simplifying the room otherwise (changing bed spread to solid color etc.) -- but we are very disappointed.

This rug is very good quality. I searched for quite some time before I could find a rug with sage green in it. This fit the bill. I am very pleased with this purchase. I ordered another one to use in an adjacent area. Unfortunately, all the other 4 rugs I ordered were sent out in the wrong color. I ordered sage/ivory and was sent brown/ivory. Very, very frustrating.

This is a lovely rug, however, it sheds VERY badly. I have never had a wool rug that sheds so BADLY! The fibers get all over my furniture. (I’m not used to having “fuzzy furniture.). I’m 70 years old, have had many rugs, wool, synthetic, etc., and this one really sheds like a son-of-a-gun!!! The 2nd photo is what I picked up after vacuuming once this morning. Really disappointed!!!

Do not buy this rug if you have allergies! I bought this rug about 6 months ago. It has been a nightmare. It sheds like crazy. If there was an option of returning it after this long I certainly would. I paid twice the amount for this rug than I do 2 other rugs and I love them so much more. An example of how much the rug sheds, I have to empty the Dyson vacuum cleaner canister 2-3 times each week when I vacuum. I have allergies and I know that this rug is exhacerbating them, so it’s going in the trash, despite how much I paid for it. I will order another one of the rugs that cost 1/3 the price and are holding up much better.

This is a very nice wool rug and it is very thick and good quality. The downside is that these generate a LOT of fuzz.You'll be vacuuming this for weeks and it still fills up the canister. Otherwise, this really finishes off our room and adds class.

I placed this rug in our dining area and its muted colors work well with the adjoining family room. At first I thought the shedding wasn't bad, but it's awful. I have to vacuum the rug and hardwood floor every day. Hoping it will end soon. I'm super pleased with Amazon's price, as the identical rug is listed on Frontgate for $1,499. But, now I'm wondering whether it truly is the same rug.

We love the rug and the colors. We would, however, have prefered not to have the stripey effect in the background green. We had been warned of this by other reviews. We have not seen the great shedding reported in prior reviews.

I am very pleased with this rug after searching for months with the colors I wanted to match the room and furniture (sage green and tans). Safavieh produces great quality wool rugs without all the shedding. The rug and rug pad add a nice comfortable thickness underfoot. I highly recommend.
