Works flawlessly with desktop and laptop at 4k!
I recently upgraded to a pair of 32" 4k LG monitors ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0748KJY4Q/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01__o00_s03?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) and needed a KVM that would handle a dual-head setup. I had looked at all the DisplayPort offerings, but apparently DP cannot handle KVMs very well, with issues like resolutions being lost, monitors "forgetting" application window and icon locations, and a long list of other complaints. My previous setup was a pair of 27" monitors using an IOgear DVI-D KVM which has been rock solid for about 10 years. I figured it would be easy to find a dual-head HDMI KVM. Well, I was wrong!I have spent over a MONTH looking at every single KVM I could find, and must have viewed a combined total of 200 product detail pages! I looked at speciality sites, overseas sites, and scoured Amazon. I could find nothing that had a reasonable number of positive reviews where at least half the customers were not complaining about issues that would clearly affect me as well. If I could find one, it was $600 or more and was a rack mount unit!I gave in and bought a $500 IOGEAR Dual HDMI KVM GCS1322TAA3. Well, that rack-mount monster showed up and right away one of the HDMI ports did not work, plus it needed three sets of special $90 cables! That would have been $800+ for a KVM, the cost of my monitors! It also did not support a wireless keyboard or mouse. That was returned! Then this CKL KVM showed up on Amazon, and it looked great, even though there were only 4 reviews at the time. I went to order it and it was sold out! I finally found it for sale on another site, and then it was sold out too! I finally got lucky and the manufacturer had ONE for sale so I snatched it up. They shipped it from China using DHL so while it took a week to show up, it was pretty quick - they even delivered it on Presidents Day (a holiday for many shippers).Installing was a breeze. I got everything plugged in and fired up my setup. I set the resolution to match my monitors and it worked, but my monitors were flashing an "Out of range" message. I went into my monitors and changed a setting and it worked fine. I switched to my laptop and that worked fine as well. I could not believe how easy it was, and the price is great! My setup:(1) Custom PC with an Nvida GTX-970 outputting through one native HDMI port, and out one DisplayPort port with a DP-to-HDMI adapter. Works perfectly.(2) Dell Latitude 5580 through USB-C to Dell D6000 docking port, outputting through on native HDMI port, and out one DisplayPort port with a DP-to-HDMI adapter. Works perfectly on one monitor, but I currently can't get the other DisplayPort output to run full 4K even though I had it working initially! However, this is a very locked-down work computer so I suspect it's not a KVM issue.Bottom line, YES I RECOMMEND THIS.PROS:* Works exactly as expected.* Includes 4 cables (for my dual head, dual port version) - two (2) standard HDMI cables, and two (2) "combo" HDMI cables. These combo cables are kind of cool - they have an HDMI cable, USB, and audio plugs on your PC side which is to be expected, but then on the KVM end there is *only* the HDMI plug. Apparently the KVM takes all those signals across the HDMI connection and then splits them out as needed. That simplifies the connections at the back of the KVM considerably, and is much more neat than my last KVM which looked like spaghetti.* The instructions are very understandable, with only a few items that are confusing at first. If you read through it 2-3 times it becomes pretty clear how to make things work.* There are a lot of neat features. For example, you can choose the "hot key" to be CTRL on the left or right side of the keyboard, or change it to SCROLL LOCK or NUMLOCK. You can disable the beep sound. You can reset the KVM via hotkeys. You can switch to a specific PC (1 or 2 in my case, but 4 if you get the 4 port version) or switch between what is turned on by double-clicking the middle mouse button.* This EXTENDS my Windows 10 desktop, allowing me to have different content on each monitor.* It is pretty small. I have it sitting on the back of my desk, but I could probably use double-sided tape and stick it under my desk as well.* It included everything I needed to get up and running EXCEPT the set of HDMI cables to my monitors. However, I had those already so I doubt this is an issue.* While directions are included, they also have a sticker right on top with the basics!* It is just so simple there's nothing more to say - it works as expected, it was a great deal at $129, and it is easy to use.CONS:* The included cords are a little short. Instead of a typical 6' long, they appear to be 4' or 5' long, which might be an issue if you want to put the KVM somewhere besides right on your desk.Check my other reviews as well, I'm a real customer, and I *refuse* to buy anything that has the hint of a fake review.

Loose ports cause product nonfunction
This product was severely disappointing. I was all excited to be able to switch back and forth between my work laptop and home desktop quickly, but was dismayed at the quality of this product.***PROBLEMS*** The ports on this are loose and don't allow connection or provide power to devices. Poor craftsmanship.***Description*** I ordered this and plugged in everything: my two monitors, my work laptop, my desktop, my keyboard and mouse, but the keyboard never turned on. I figured its because its a gaming keyboard with LED display. So I switched it out for my other (normal) keyboard and it had the same result. The keyboard port on the back didn't output any power. Bad port. Disappointed, I switched my original keyboard to the port on the front port and the power turned on, lighting up the keyboard, but it wouldn't type. Thinking this was because it was a gaming keyboard, I switched to my standard keyboard and tried both ports: the back port had no power and the front one wouldn't type. I figured it was just a faulty product, so I returned it via amazon prime and requested a replacement, then waited for a new one to try. It had the same issue this time except this time it was the mouse port on the back that didn't work. Mechanical keyboard didn't work in back or front, but the standard keyboard did in both ports. Mouse didn't work in either. I could see that the mouse had power in both ports, but the pointer would not move as I dragged the mouse. ***CONCLUSION*** If you're looking for an easy to use and reliable KVM switch, this is not the product for you. Having tried two of these and experiencing the same problem on two different ports, I can say that my experience with this is poor, to say the least. It should be an amazing product! But the fact that I received two faulty products in a row goes to show a lot about the manufacturer.

Great little KVM - CKL-942HUA
One thing regarding these reviews, all models of this KVM brand are lumped into one feedback string. Some models may be more problematic than others, just check the tag of the model you wish to buy from the reviewer. The one I purchased, was the 4 port, dual monitor (4K@30MHz CKL-942HUA). All cables are firm and fit perfectly, no difficulties or fiddling around required (beyond running the cables through & tidying up the desk) to get it setup and working. Have had it for a week and no glitches at all.Note my setup is 3x Windows laptops (1x work win10, 2x personal win11 - 1x gaming & 1x business class hardware levels) & 1x windows 10 desktop, with 2x Dell branded 24" 1080P (matching) monitors, wireless keyboard and mouse and a USB label printer. Not using audio. All negative reviews tend to be mixtures of Mac and windows hardware, perhaps this is an issue with native drivers and resolutions. Since I have only relatively newer windows hardware, I may have escaped the hardships reported by others. The only (minor inconvenience) observation I have is the power cord is rather short @ approx 3ft long. I just needed to attach a power bar under the desk to accommodate so no biggie for me. Power not 100% required, may be needed for higher power USB 2.0 peripherals. I just used it for future expansion and not need to hunt for it when\if I need it in the future.Compared to the old KVM i replaced (VGA), resolution has vastly improved with HDMI. I did have to adapt a couple connections to Display port (HDMI-DP adapters) however no noticeable video quality is lost.Given this device is less than half the cost of the 'Bigger company' competitor, is a serious contender especially for home users without an enterprise level unlimited budget.I would definitely buy again, recommend for anybody that has a need to share multiple machines and have the comfort of dual monitors.

Works well, but comes with US power adaptor
I found setup a bit fiddly and the manual is in broken English, but the customer email support helped me with all my queries and worked out all the issues (which were all my fault)One thing to note is that it's powered by USB, but comes with an US power adaptor that the USB cord plugs into. Being in Australia, I had some problems getting it to work initially, but I think it's because I used an incompatible Australian power adaptor (wrong voltage/wattage/amps/whatever) but once I got past that, it's been good ever since.

Worth the price. Works great.
I was unable to use Hot key switching with my USB keyboard, but It wasn't a feature I needed anyway (I just use the manual switch or wired remote). No problems with Macbook Pro 13" 2020 and an old Sager laptop using one HDMI and one miniDispalyPort-to-HDMI. The provided power cable is not required (powered by usb inputs).Seems high quality. Worth the price.

Failed after 8 hours use
KVM was easy to set-up and worked perfectly for first 8 hours; then 1 displayport channel started to get flakey and would cut out occasionally. Swapping cables/monitors/computers proved it was one of the video channels on the KVM itself, then after 8-10 hours use the second channel also started to get flakey, and eventually all video processed through the switch was unusable.

Works as described - FAST customer service
Setup did not take long but I was having some issues with output connections. I reached out to their customer service email around 10pm on Saturday night and had a response within the hour...!!! That response was helpful and I was able to complete my installation successfully because of it. I highly recommend this company. I will update this review later if the longevity of the device is in question, but right now everything is working great, and I'm very impressed with their response time!
