Be careful how you use these with younger children
As far as a water bead goes, these do exactly what they're supposed to and definitely feel all squishy and cool and sensory-stimulative. But, DISCLAIMER, if used on or spilled on concrete, they dry up/ absorb all the water around them then stick to it. In other words, I cannot get them up without powerfully hosing them off and now there are little colorful gelatinous pieces all over my yard. My son is 20 months and definitely likes playing with these, but since he is young he wanted to throw them everywhere and on the ground. Also I did catch him considering putting them in his mouth so watch out for that! He has never been the type of baby to put things in his mouth either. I think and older child would understand better that they are supposed to be used in/ sit in the water. So if using with a younger toddler, be careful and maybe let them expand before letting the LO play with it. They really do expand A WHOLE DREAKINH LOT!! Cannot even believe how many balls are everywhere from what seemed like a small amount. Another recommendation: follow the directions on the box ;) tried to show in pic the massive amount, and that size is the biggest these get.

So here's the deal with these cool things. If you do not have pets or ...
Okay. So here's the deal with these cool things. If you do not have pets or children who put things in their mouths unpredictably then these are great! If you're in this group of people, I highly recommend these as a way to pass time. I gave these to my children in a large plastic bin (about 9 x 13 size) each and also gave them each an empty ice cube holder to sort into (an egg carton would work well too!). They were happily occupied for a solid 40 minutes before they started making chaos. My problem was, as I watched them playing with these and as some inevitably ended up rolling onto the floor, I looked down at my puppy and a light bulb went off. What would happen if we somehow missed cleaning one or more of these up and she found them and ate them? All kinds of frenzied and not so great scenes went through my mind and now I'm a little too afraid to let the kids play with them. Taking them outside wouldn't fix the problem as the dog obviously goes outside too. I wrote an email to the company asking what would happen if the dog DID ingest one or more and never heard back.

Squishy magic fun!
I bought these for my daughters water table, as a filler for sensory play. She has caught me multiple time playing with them in the kitchen. They are VERY COOL! I have to remind myself that they are not slimy, just wet. I soaked them inside so it would be easy to separate them from the water that didn't get absorbed. The picture I've shared is a picture of what they look like before soaked, a 4 hour soak and an overnight soak, as well as how much the 4 hour bead shrunk overnight when I left it to dry up. The shoebox bin I stored them in is about half full and that was only 3 teaspoons of beads. TEASPOONS! My daughter loves playing with them and so do I. They are easily squished and they bounce when they fall so I can see why 20,000 are necessary. However, I think we are just going to buy more because they are so cool!

Watch how long you soak them
Nana and I "tested" these for the baby and had the time of our lives. Ben is 2 I will add a picture of him playing but he picks them up with the claw things that the beads come with and shifts them from one bowl into another. We only used about 10 beads because we just wanted to see how they worked but we did go to bed so we soaked them for about 9 hours. At 9 hours they were pretty bloated I could say maybe too full, so if you look at the pictures some got a crack and crushed apart so do watch how long you soak them. But Ben loves the way they feel and bounce. Keep them off the floor they get dirty.

Great for my 3 year old!
Oh my goodness, sooooo much fun!!! I put a bunch in a large tub so my 3 year old could play with it. I may have played with it more than him at first! So addicting!!At first I added a big bowl next to it so he could transfer the balls from one container to the next with the “tongs/grabby tool” and had him switch with each hand.A few days later I hid some little toys in the balls and he could find them. We had so much fun with it!!I love that you can let the balls dry and reuse them at a later moment again too.The tweezers are useless though since as an adult I wasn’t able to pick up any balls with them. But love the tongs!!
