JIM DUNLOP Acoustic Guitar Effect Pedal (11064000001)

I know nothing about guitars but this was on my hisband’s Christmas list. Best price I could find and Prime shipping. He absolutely loves it.

This is a good pedal. A bit dated in terms of technology, but still a good pedal. It is not, however, a replication of Hendrix' pedal in spite of the name. My understanding is that his used Germanium and this Silicone. Sounds just fine. Works quite well. If you're looking for a one to one ratio pedal of one for Hendrix precise sound, choose the one made with Germanium circuitry.

I love this Pedal and funny enough I thought it was broken straight out the Box, but it’s because the “In” & “Out” inputs are opposite like Vintage Pedals. It’s a true bypass so it won’t mess with your tone if the pedal is off. The tone it gives compared to the Blue Mini Fuzz Face is much much better to my Ears, it comes with a really nice Pedal Box with a Jimi Hendrix Design on it. I would definitely recommend this as your first Fuzz

I have owned several fuzz faces. They can be a bit finicky. I was shocked too discover how well it cleans up with the guitar's volume knob. Don't expect to get authentic Hendrix tones out of the box. I think it sounds best when you run into a slightly cranked amp or an overdrive pedal. I turn up the volume on the pedal all the way and roll back the fuzz just a bit. Of all the Dunlop fuzz faces, I like this one the best.

Sounds good but something I dislike about this unit is that there is no way to plug it in. You must use a battery. I should have bought Dunlop's updated model.

IT WAS A CHRISTMAS GIFT. THE SIXTEEN YEAR OLD GRANDSON LOVES IT.

I was hoping for this product to be awesome because I love the Jimi Hendrix sound...Everything was great except for the interference I got when I plugged it in. The oldie but goodie transistor made me hear neighbors radio,phone conversations thru my amp. Needless to say I sent it back and bought the Joe Bonamassa Fuzzface which is similar but with a Germanium transistor...

Sounds great. The feedback is cool.Just like Hendrix
