Super cute early introduction into eco-friendly awareness
"Baby Loves Earth: An ABC of Our Planet"...This is a super cute book series. This book, along with the book "Baby Loves Calm: An ABC of Mindfulness", is going to be a gift for my 2-year-old grand daughter. These books are a small size which will make it easier for her to hold, and the cover and pages are nice and sturdy which will make it harder for her to destroy! On the back cover it states that this book is made from "paper from responsible sources". I'm not sure exactly what that means, but it sounds good. I do have to mention that there is a typo on the back cover as well. It says that this book will "inspire and inform budding eco-warriers everywhere" (assuming they intended for it to say "eco-warriors").This book has simple illustrations and a basic one-word-per-letter format, with no additional explanation or detail given. If you're reading to an inquisitive child who likes to ask questions, then Google might be very useful in explaining certain words or concepts (Kapok? It's a plant fiber with a variety of uses, including as a stuffing for pillows and mattresses. Who knew? Thanks Google.)I have a few small complaints about some of the words chosen... For some reason it bothers me when the chosen word doesn't actually begin with the specified letter: Q is not for Equilibrium, X is not for Coexist. Should this bother me? I don't know. Maybe it doesn't really matter since this book is really intended for babies. But if an emerging reader was looking through it this might require an explanation.Overall I really like this book for a young child. It's sturdy, the perfect size for small hands, has cute illustrations, and I love the idea of introducing earth-friendly concepts at a very young age. I recommend this book.

Good
Got these books in mail today, they came pretty quick. I like them for my three year old - I personally think it works for a bit older toddlers rather than baby-babies, however I believe in not underestimating the learning abilities of the young kiddos... Their brains are AMAZING! Yes these are complex big words, and yes sometimes I even find it difficult to explain what it means - but I try my best, to use the simplest language to explain things to her in a way that she could understand. I got her a set of science books when she was one and started exposing her to basic principles in math, physics and scientific fields. Kids don't have the type of mental blocks we do - thinking that things are too complicated then refuse to learn - they simply absorb what they can and leave the rest. Of course they will not completely grasps the concepts yet, as they are not developed enough to understand and interpret like we do, however they learn rapidly and mimic at a rate that we can not even get close to. I think it is a good start to expose them to such things and start building a foundation for the future when they do come across these ideas in schools, it won't be a complete strangers - and research actually suggests that it is how kids from well educated families get ahead - they simply are exposed to more, more complex languages, words, etc.

Pro-environment ABC’s
Being responsible caretakers of our planet is not something we are born with, but something we are taught. It is so important to ensure that future generations have a sense of responsibility and love for our planet, and this book is a great way to start the journey toward being a thoughtful steward of the land. The extra thick pages make it easier for small children to handle, so after reading this book with them many times, they can become independent and revisit it if they like. Simple, lovely book.

Odd but cute little book. Manufactured in China.
Baby Earth is a colorful board book that a baby will enjoy looking at. If you read it to a small child, it will seem very strange because words like diversity and co-exist are not words that babies understand. The pictures probably won’t help a baby figure out what they mean. Even adults will need to engage in abstract thinking to see the connection between the pictures and some of the words. But does it matter? The intended audience for a board book is a very young child, one who is too young to read. Baby just wants to turn the pages and see colorful pictures. These are colorful and clearly drawn, although the subject matter may be meaningless to baby in some cases. The book looks like it will hold up very well. It is hard cover and the pages are smooth cardboard. This is manufactured in China using responsibly sourced paper.

adorable, no hidden agenda
This is a great little board book. It's well made, sturdy, and the artwork is vibrant, relevant, and fun. I love the idea for a gift for a "crunchy" or "woke" mom. The Q and X were stretches as they don't actually start with those letters, but you get the idea and they're usually substituted in most ABC books anyhow. I also liked how this book didn't seem to have an agenda behind it, it's just a nice "caring about the Earth" book without making humans look horrible for destroying the planet. Instead of placing blame and creating fear, it just informs and educates (you know, as much as an ABC book can). I really like this adorable little book.

Review Before Giving to Your Child. It Might Not Be Age Appropriate
Baby Loves: Earth is a pocket size picture children’s book made of thick cardboard which will make it easy for a little one to hold and turn the pages. The illustrations are colorful and yet simple to help enhance the meaning of the word that corresponds with the presented letter of the alphabet.Baby Loves: Earth introduces little ones to the world of conservation and environmental issues. I would not recommend this for a baby of even a very young toddler as some of the words are larger and this will cause mom or dad to explain the word and meaning to the child, (Such a T for Toxin Free, Q for Equilibrium, and X for coexist. There was even a word I did not know: K for Kapok. What is that? Google helped to give me the knowledge on this word. I did like that Y stood for You and this could lead to a conversation about how you (the child) can help to save the world.Overall, I say look at this book first and decide if it will be appropriate for your young child.
