Columela Sherry Vinegar Clasico, 12.7 oz Pack of 3

I was very pleased with my purchase of the Columela Sherry Vinegar Clasico, 12.7 oz. It brightens up many recipes that I might otherwise use Balsamic, Apple Cider or Red Wine Vinegar. I even used it in a coleslaw recipe and was pleasantly surprised just how much it improved the flavor. Everyone commented how wonderful the coleslaw was.UPDATE: I bought this bottle for $11.69 in Feb. 2020. It is April 2020 now...$18.14 for the same bottle.

Bought it just to try the salad recipe from nytimes cooking (Via Carota’s Insalata Verde). Fell in love with this vinegar as well as the dressing I tried with it. It’s not as pungent as red wine vinegar. But more elegant!

The bottle arrived with the seal broken and liquid spilled down the side of the bottle staining the label. It's a cork stopper with a plastic seal, so probably ideal for shipping. This meant that the vinegar was effectively open to the air for some time, and had gone bad during either warehousing or delivery. It was so bad that the bottle was audibly fizzing when stoppered.I would accept a refund / replacement of this item but apparently Amazon's policy doesn't allow this and there is no way to report it in the Orders / Returns UI. Not a happy customer!

Tastes ok. Nothing spectacular. Came with a dried out cork that broke and is hard to strain out. It’s ok but I wouldn’t buy it again.

Tasty vinegar but...how costly/difficult would it be for them to add a Plastic Pour Spout at the top of the bottle? I poured it out carefully and yet it spilled all over the place. I mean, you gotta pour vinegar SLOWLY and SPARINGLY...but if you do it that way, and there's NO POUR SPOUT, well...it's just a mess.Sheesh.

Decent quality for price . More butter than I was expecting . My lid had a screw cap which was nice . No more corks like the previous reviews mentioned.

I bought this for my daughter who could not find it where she recently moved. She is a gourmet cook and loves to cook with this. She was delighted and said "just what I wanted."
