Srixon Z-Star Golf Balls (Prior Generation)

Since switching to this ball at the beginning of the season, I went from shooting 80 to in the 70s. Posted a 72 last round and although it’s been mainly practice and course management, this ball has helped a lot. It’s predictable, spins enough to hold greens, solid distance from the tee but the feel is what I like the best. It’s smooth and when you compress it you can really feel it. Definitely a Srixon player moving forward!

Mannnn, I was swinging SO hard and these sum-bucks would go every which way but straight. Z-star makes sense now. Was dang near spelling the alphabet out there, maybe it should be A-Z star.Seriously though, I’m not nearly good enough a golfer to say that these improved my game any, but I want to say that they parked really well on the greens. Normally my approaches will check up and then roll off, but I was getting them to stop far better than when I played with any other general-purpose ball.I was leaving a lot of long putts since I’m used to shooting short and letting it roll up. I did almost get a hole-out off the tee on a par-3, less than 1’ to the pin on the back 9. That gave me some confidence to still par that one because I rebounded off the back lip from putting with too much confidence. But that’s my bad, not the balls.I have purchased these in numerous spots since my original trial on Amazon. Great ball that plays, for me, just as well as the Pro V-1/x… but I’m a 16 handicap so I’m sure I’m not getting the most out of this thing.

I wanted to try the latest 2021 balls from Srixon (Z Stars) because the previous generation were very impressive. I also bought and tried out my now second favorite ball the 2021 TP5 (yellow), and what I thought was going to be great, the new 2021 Titleist ProV1 (yellow) as well. I'll say it right away, the Srixon Z Star (2021) does everything the TP5 and the Titleist on the approch and on the green, the biggest difference and I mean to me a big difference is off the Tee with the driver. They give me more distance off the tee. They feel great off the wedges and don't have as much of a clicky sound like the Titelist ProV1. These New 2021 Z Star in yellow also look great. I'd say for yellow they have a bit more of a glitter yellow rather then a flat yellow like the TP5, they have the same yellow glitter color to them like the Titleist For my game these have impressed me and prefer these over the two others mentioned. They also have a great durable cover, so its not just a pretty yellow ball. These are not budget balls either, Srixon at the moment is holding 2 major winners on the PGA tour who play Srixon Z Stars,, Shane Lowry and Hideki Matsuyama.

That I got what I asked for

I've been through a million balls!! I have my winner!! ProV1 outdrived this ball with my swing by 3 to 5 yards tops. Sxrion divide performed just as well around greens as ProV1. Sxrion are $16 less than ProV1. Im a ok golfer and these perform great and have a great price compared to the $50 to $54 balls.

I found one of these and played a round of golf and was impressed with them and they are very easy to see in air and on the ground for me my new go to golf balls for sure

I am sure these balls will be great when I get to use them. Golf season does not start in most of Canada till middle of April. So hard to review with 100% accuracy

Just opened my package that paid 65 buck for new golf balls and got used golf balls not even the brand I purchased. Will be sending back and not purchasing again.
