Venom: Lethal Protector

Even if you've already read the original Lethal Protector, this is still a great buy. The scenes are well written with great detail and you get an insight into the thoughts of several characters in the story that you just don't get in the original comics. The viewpoint switches from time to time from Venom to Spider-Man and it makes for a great change of pace. The action scenes are exciting and you can visualize them perfectly in your head.I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story and plan on reading it again in the future. And I rarely re read books, so this one comes highly recommended!

This novel was awesome. It was very well layed out and it was told in a very comic book like synopsis. If you really like Venom then I highly suggest getting this.

They updated the original to include things like smart phones and social media, but they left the old corny dialogue. It's just unnatural sounding to hear words like "Aw Nuts." I won't go into detail, but if you have adult violence, then dialogue and witty banter shouldn't come from the fifties. It's nice for a quick read, and you don't have to collect a stack of comics to get the whole story. The part that I remember most from the Venom: Lethal Protector comic was when Venom punched a Clown right in the nose... That was sadly left out of this novelization.

A good adoptation of the original comic. I like the added bits about Donna Diego and Scream too.

The plot is interesting enough to carry the story but the dialogue is just so unnecessary sometimes that it just drags the story to a halt.

This book was not my usual type of read, but I loved it. It had that vivid style of writing that was so thrilling, it got my heart racing and pulled me to the edge of my seat. This book was non-stop action with an exciting storyline, and intriguing characters. I loved the banter!

I have not always been the biggest fan of the character of Venom. After his initial stories, the character went through many changes that were not always, in my opinion, the best for the character. When I found out that James Tuck was writing a Venom novel, I was overjoyed. I thought that Venom would be a character the author could really sink his teeth into and do something great with. I was right. This is a great read. It adapts the Lethal Protector storyline from the comics. If you're a comics fan or a Venom fan, this one is a must read.
