WOW, surprised at how good this is. Purchased for my hubby since he literally scrapes his face off with those disposable razors he can only use once and has to use 3-4 of them each shave--- just not sharp enough. My dad only used this kind of razor every day and had a clean close shave, no razor bumps so I thought I'd see if my hubby would prefer it over those crappy disposables.BE VERY CAREFUL when you're going from using dull plastic disposable razors to this old school version. You need to change to long, light, gentle strokes or you will definitely be bleeding a LOT like my husband did on the first use. He said it would take a few times to get used to because you need a lighter, steady hand and longer strokes and you get a FAR BETTER, CLOSER SHAVE WITH FAR LESS WORK!PROS:The little black case it came in was great for travel since I gave it to him the day before we went on a road trip. It included about 3-4 razors, very easy to put in and pop out. The razors as so sharp they each will last for many shaves without needing to change (saves money)!It is a beautiful stainless steel razor with a nice weight to it and a good textured handle for trip.Pops open easily with a slight twist to expose the blade in order to change it out.Double edged like the old school razors- just flip it around for the other edgeComes with brief instructions in case you've never had the pleasure of using one of these.

This thing is awesome! You gotta be careful the first time around, but once you get the technique, it's smooth as butter, baby!! The enclosure is excellent for storing and/or traveling. I highly recommend this for the price point!

I got this razor thinking that my husband might like to try something new and I was right! With all of the 5 blade, extra flexible, sensitive strip, and so on options you can find these days, it makes you wonder if it's all necessary. Well after using this razor, I feel like we now know that sometimes more isn't better. This simple and yet complex design brings the good old fashioned ways to a nowadays ease of use design.The packaging is sleek and compact with all you need in a tough case. To load a blade into the shiney chrome holder you simply twist the handle and drop in a blade and twist again to secure it. It tightens up at the perfect angle and ta-da! You're set!My husband had a fair amount of stubble and with this straight razor style blade, there was not the clogging up of some multi blades or sensitive strip.. Just a nicer, closer, sharper, shave.The only downside my husband could give about this shaver was that it is bulkier than a standard razor and so you need to use a little more finess for the tighter crevices. That was not enough to deter him from loving it though.When my husband finished his shave he was eager to come snuggle up to me and see for myself, how soft and lovable he was. My husband is very impressed with this razor and he is very particular. He has been using this for several days and really likes the way this razor performs and feels in his hand while using. It comes packaged very nicely. If buying for yourself or giving as a gift. You won't be disappointed.

This was a gift for my dad for father's day. He was pretty irritated when he couldn't find a replacement for his injector blade razor that he had been using for the last decade (and my mother was having a hard time finding the blades for it anyway) So I thought I would give him a chance to try this. He said it's as close to his old razor that he thinks he can get, and has no complaints (man of few words). He dry shaves, and did get a couple nicks from this blade, but that's his stubbornness and refusal to use cream (same thing happened with his old razor too). Overall he indicated he intends to use this and get more blades for it when they run out, so I'll give it a five star on his behalf.

I absolutely love this razor. It took a little getting used to but now that I am used to it I will never go back to disposable razors again. Been shaving with this for a month and I am still using the first blade. I do wish the handle was 4" longer but nothing else to complain about!

Carrying case is great, durable construction

Only used it 6 times but so far 100% satisfied. Nice feel and weight and opens and closes easily. Comes in a nice travel case and 5 blades. Never heard of the brand of blades and they are OK, but I would be willing to pay a couple extra bucks if they included a sampler pack of different name-brand blades (Gillette, Astra, Shark, Lord...) to try.
