Sanctuary Spa Face Wash, Melt Away Cleansing Oil, 150ml

This is a very gentle product. I was looking for an alternative to the popular Japanese oil-cleanser I was using, as I’m weirdly sensitive to the smell of stearyls, and needed something similar that doesn’t contain those. This has proven to be a wonderful alternative. There is hardly a fragrance; what’s there is very pleasant. It’s easy to dispense and apply. It’s a lighter oil cleanser in colour, and a little thinner than others, but performs just as well as any of the pricier brands I’ve used. It doesn’t rinse super easily, so definitely functions best as the first in a double-cleansing routine; otherwise you’ll just need to make sure you’re thorough in the rinse. I use a cloth for rinsing when I’m using this on its own. I like to use it on its own when my skin is feeling tender (I have very sensitive skin). So it’s great for my sensitive, combination, redness-prone skin; it’s never broken me out or caused any irritation. I like it a lot and will definitely buy it again. Just don’t discontinue it, Sanctuary, as you did my last favourite cleanser!

Been using this for over 6 months, it’s just great. Smells amazing, really great at removing all traces of makeup, leaves skin with a glow and very clean & soft. Highly recommend. Just gorgeous..

Lovely face wash. Removes make up even eye make up. Turns to milk when water is added. Left my skin soft& not dried out like some cleansers. I used to use Elemis balm cleanser but this is just as good for a fraction of the cost.

Bought this after watching some skincare videos about removing 'plugs' from nose/chin. I must admit I have not found this has happened for me (maybe I am doing it wrong), but I am loving using this product as a swift make-up remover, ahead of a second face wash.I don't have any issues with the scent, as some other reviewers. I am a massive fan of Sanctuary products though, so perhaps I am used to it.I use it in the evening as part of end-of-day skincare routine. I use this to remove make-up or just clear the day away. It feels like a luxe experience and that it's nourishing the skin. I follow up with a regular face wash after rinsing.I have not changed my other facewash, or other products, only started using this, and I have noticed an improvement to my skin clarity, it looks healthier and clearer.It also seems like it will last a while as you don't need to use a lot of product, so value for money stacks up with this.

Does the job and melts off make up but the smell is like putting cooking oil on your face. Very off putting for me. I've had similar products which smell lovely so I won't he buying this one again.
