This is something my husband has wanted for some time. He loves it. I wish I could tell you why he loves it and wanted only this particular product but I can't. What I can tell you is that he is very well versed on weapons and weapon accessories and this was what he seemed to feel was the best laser grip so I got it for him. Wish I could tell you more technical stuff about it but I can't. Sorry...

In general this is a very good product although I have a couple of issues. Number one is fit. I had a hard time getting the right side of the grip to lay flat against the frame of the gun. I finally did but I think it should have been easier especially since the directions recommend you remove the grips to clean the gun. The other issue I have is with the placement of the on/off switch. I think it is awkward and prevents me from getting a solid hold on the gun.

Batteries were very difficult to keep in place. They did not fit properly, and they kept falling out. After finally getting the grip on the gun, the laser light was about 1/8 inch from the frame. I was unable to sight in the gun. The red dot would not hold zero. Bullet strike was a 6 inch circle at 30 feet without making any adjustment. I own several of these grips, and the quality of Crimson trace is getting very bad. This is the second grip in which the batteries did not fit. Where is the quality control? This grip is junk.

Delivered as described, used with new batteries, could hardly tell they weren't new. I have found that a Lasergrip gives assurance of being on target when it's difficult to use the conventional sights. Also, the lasergrip is a good training aid, highlighting errors in you trigger pull when dry firing. I'd recommend lasergrips for those who don't spend the range time to develop instinctive shooting skills, as well. PR

the fit for the grip is tight . The fit at the slide is loose (where laser is mounted) which makes the laser move when gripping and pulling the trigger . a 1/16 shim is necessary and then sight adjustment can be achieved. After installing a ct green laser on my 1911 which is a perfect fit and turned my shooting from a shotgun scatter to 1 1/4 " @ 25yds (repeatedly) I ran to the store to get one for my hp lol It's workable just didn't think you should have to play with it as the cost says it shouldn't But its definitely an advantage for a man with older eyes!!!!!!!
